Too many days have disappeared. Too many people have died. For what? A fable about untold riches? Fame and power? It's a shame how greed can kill in an instant. It truly is.
==========-------------- ~~
Three years have passed since the war began. Disaster and ruin are all that is left. Humans are- no, living humans are scarce. This grey wasteland is nothing but the result of greed. Whatever is left of humanity has given up hope. Some have just given up on survival. It's horrifying to see what they have done. They caused themselves so much grief. So much pain. So much sacrifice. And all of it was for nothing. Absolutely nothing.
If a human is seen, be warned as many have lost their sanity due to past conflicts. Sane humans are dangerous as well. They create ways to protect themselves. Create ways to kills others. They're almost as bad as insane humans. So far, few casualities have occured since the Breakdown.
The Breakdown was a short period of time during the war not that long ago, meant if you left your shelter, you'd most likely end up dead. People were killed for no apparent reason. So, so many lives were lost during the Breakdown. Too many.
If the people weren't bad enough, then the Toxins were. Toxins turned anything and everything into vicious creatures, traps, and diseases. The Toxins like Neuropheoride and Cudaymeen were the worst. Neuropheoride slowly infected the brain making a being become delirious, then disolves the nervous system. It's a scary sight. Although Neuropheoride is nearly impossible to catch, it's still very dangerous. Cudaymeen is just as bad. If it enters a body, it eats away at muscle tissue and certain systems like the digestive system, some of the nervous system, and the reproductive system. Though it may not sound bad, the process is excruciatingly painful. In a matter of hours it can leave a being dead. There will be no blood, but there will be screaming. Loud screaming. There are more cruel diseases that exist, but those won't be explained now, for it is time for our journey to be told. Hopefully, this won't end in ruin, too.
