Insecurities. Everyone gets them. Wether it's something as small as not really loving the way your nose looks in pictures, or as big as not being able to look at yourself in the mirror without feeling disgusted at what you see, we're all insecure at some level, no matter how much some deny it, it's always there.
But why does it have to be such a bad thing? Having that one thing that you don't particularly like about yourself keeps your grounded, reminds you that you're not perfect, no one is. The problem is letting your insecurities control you, you start letting it control the way you dress, the way you act, the things you want and don't want to do, everything.
And you keep hearing that you should not care what people think of you and the way they see you but that's the thing, people are not the problem, you are your biggest critic and you keep bringing yourself down without even meaning to.
You walk into a room feeling like everyone there is staring at that one flaw that you absolutely hate about yourself, that they're judging you based on that one thing. But you need to realize, the whole world is not out to get you, these thoughts consume you and take away your happiness but the world doesn't see you or look at you the way you see and look at yourself.
But then again, the hardest critique to get over is your own.
