Bully
As many of us can clearly see, High School would have to be the slowest half decade of our lives. Many of us continue on to University get their bachelors degree and go on to become successful people but no. My chance was taken away by a cruel taunt known only as a bully. My chance to live a happy, healthy life was crushed much like my face and my self-esteem. I am Jack Smith and I was a victim of the Bully.
This all started as I moved to a small town just outside of Nashville, Tennessee. I had never moved schools before, I had no idea what to expect. Were they all going to think “ Eww the new kid”? I had no idea. Moving from Australia to America wasn’t an easy task. All the stereo typical events that happen at an Average American School like getting stuffed into trash cans and getting hung by your undies from the flag pool all seemed quite daunting to me.
The most important thing in life that you can have would have to be confidence in your self-esteem and self-image neither of those did I have. You see, I was not your average teenager. I was the antisocial computer nerd who had trouble associating with other people. I had social anxiety which sometimes meant I couldn’t even deliver pizza to my own house because I was to afraid to speak to a total stranger. The idea of a perfect world was everybody accepted everybody for who they are totally seemed clique. This is a track of my diary records with all my personal information I kept quiet to my self.
Day 1. First Day Of School
My stomach twisted and turned as we pulled up to the drive of Westdale Junior High School. I only managed to push my self through the front door knowing I was not the only new kid on the block. Walking though the School Doors seeing the perfectly aliened lockers with the smell of old chewing gum and burnt out cigarettes. Looking at all the different kinds of people this school had to offer. Walking down the hall noticing the little things, were the things that scared me the most. The popular people making out on the lockers, the mathletes getting shoved into lockers and the picture perfect goody two – shoes A grade student choir group rehearsing in the room to my left.
