Chapter 8

Jacky's POV
I awoke to quiet screeching from outside my room. I got up and grabbed my glasses. The screeched stopped and I opened the door carefully.

"Uh hello?" I see Hailee sprawled on the floor with a purple mist around her feet.

It collects and she floats on it using her wings to steady herself. "Hehe sorry. Good morning! Let's just... go to breakfast..." The Dragon looked like she was in pain.

We walked into the dining hall. Adam seemed a little less hopeful and more scared. He had sunglasses on again, like he did when we got here. (YES deal with it his name is Adam anyways) He kept fidgeting with them.

"Hey, where's Lylia?" Andrea spoke up. Sure enough, the badass girl wasnt at breakfast.

"I don't blame her... we stayed up all night playing games. It was Tyler, Delta, Abby, her, and I." Sophia responded. The other three nodded.

Ella sent three of us- Me, Hailee, and Adam- to get her. She wasn't in her room, so we went up to the gaming room. Sure enough, she was face down on a couch. We shook her and nothing happened.

Adam rolled her over onto the floor. The sight wasn't pretty. There was a bloody hole in her chest. Hailee looked in the hallway, Adam checked the room, and I decided to look in the main room. A few more people arrived and checked the other hallways and rooms.

I noticed (wait for it) a blood covered stick in the unused fireplace. That must have been the weapon. But who? Probably one of the four she was playing with.

I looked around a bit more and found a shred of black cloth and a black hair tie. Then I saw the stick glowing purple. Hailee floated in and picked it up. "Odd... It's warm, like it was on fire."

"Okay I'm getting excited! To the trial room!" Charbrine is definitely a girl now. (ITS OFFICIAL ON THE COVER) We walked to the trial room. Well, more like took the elevator down from the dining hall.

"Ok, now what? Gimme evidence. I wanna kill." Charabrine grinned. I nodded. "Well, I concluded that the killer had to be someone who was with her last night. That makes four suspects. I also found a piece of black cloth and a hair tie. That makes our suspects Abby and Sophia." I support.

Hailee nodded. "Also, the weapon was a stick. We found it in the fireplace, and it was hot as if it had been in fire." She spoke. "Um, just wondering, but what's with your feet?" Ella asked the neko. Hailee jumped.

Her feet were gone entirely and the mist was barely there. "Uh... I..." The neko looked around scared. "She was attacked while she was doing something last night." Adam looked down while saying it.

"How would you know?" Ella questioned. "Because... I'm the one who set up the potion." Adam said quietly. He looked up and at everyone.

He took off his sunglasses and his eyes were a budder color instead of silver like normal. His head slammed down onto his podium, then came back up quickly.

"HELLOOOOOOOO!" Adam- is it even Adam anymore?- spoke excitedly. Ella and Tyler exchanged looks and shook their heads.

"It's nice to see all of you people again! Mostly Andrea and Sophia. What, you don't remember me? I'm Sky, Adams split personality that is supposedly insane." 'Sky' said. I smile.

"Uh, why did you set the potion?" Hailee asked. "Oh look! The sorcerer! Well, Adam kept thinking about your predicament so I took control. I noticed the door was ajar so I set up the potion." Sky grinned.

We noticed his eyes turning silver again and Adam slammed his head into the podium. "Urghhhhh..." He groaned. "Anyways, I think it was Abby. Sophia might be protective with her controller but she wouldn't kill." Ella supported. A murmur of agreement could be heard.

"Alright, you got me. Nice job." Abby yawned. Charabrine grinned. "YES! I get to kill you!"

Awkward moment...
