Willowpaw gasped as the strong Duskclan cats poured onto the Lightningclan camp. Thrushwing was battling with a scrawny tom. Thrushwing clawed the cats face, then bit into his neck, leaving him to bleed. Then Willowpaw felt a sharp thud as she was knocked to the ground. A muscular she-cat was standing over her. "Oh. The poor kit must have gotten out of the nursery." That made Willowpaw soar with rage. The two engaged in a battle, both equally matched. Finally, when the she-cat grew tired, Willowpaw swung around, nipping her neck. Then she clawed out her stomach, and scarred her leg.

The rest of the remaining Duskclan cats tore off, leaving Lightningclan with the victory. Thrushwing walked up to her and smiled. "You did well fighting off that cat there. I think it is time for you to become a warrior." Willowpaw smiled but frowned at all the blood on Thrushwing. "Let's get you to the Med cat den."

After everthing was cleaned up, the cats were waiting for Sunstar to call a meeting. But Sunstar didnt come. The cats started franticly looking for Sunstar. Thrushwing found her body under a gorse bush. He jumped onto the highrock. "Lightningclan! Our leader, Sunstar, is now dead. She used her last life in the battle. She is now in Starclan watching us." He lept down and the cats gathered to share tounges with their beloved leader.

A sturdy tom called the cats together. "I Cobratail, want to congragulate our deputy, Thrushwing, for becoming the new leader!" Willowpaw stared at Thrushwing. "You are the leader?" "Well I still have to make the trip to the Moonstone, but yes."

Thrushwing went to the highrock again. "I saw many apprentices fight well in the battle today. Featherpaw! Do you promise to uphold the warrior code and stay in loyalty to your clan?" Featherpaw gulped. "I do." "Then your warrior name will be Featherclaw!

And Willowpaw. Do you promise to uphold the warrior code and live in loyalty with your clan?" "I do." Thrushwing smiled. "Your warrior name will be Willowpelt!" As the cats cheered the names, Willowpelt whispered to Thrushwing. "I am a real warrior now."
