Hi author here, I'm going to be putting in some facts that are truthful and some that are fake in this chapter, just a heads up. All things I say about Amy are fictional. In real life I'm a 100% sure she is a wonderful person and I'm glad Mark found someone to make him happy.

When I wake up, I'm a tad shocked that Jack is in my arms, but then I remember what happened the night before. A smile crosses my lips and I pull him tighter into my chest, everything about right now seems right, like it should be. I slowly slip away from him and go to check my phone. 3 messages from Bob, 2 from Wade, 1 from Emma, and 5 messages and 2 missed calls from Amy. I head downstairs to go start breakfast, while I'm making pancakes I call Amy.

"Hey babe sorry I missed your calls"

"Oh it's ok, I was wondering if you wanted to hangout later cause we need to talk about something."

"I'm busy doing chores, can we talk about it now?"

"Sure, how do I say this. I don't want you hanging out with Jack anymore."

"Wait, why? He hasn't done anything wrong." I sound defensive but I tone it back.

"I know he didn't. He's a nice guy, really sweet. But he's not on our level. Plus I heard he was gay. That could be bad for our image. I just don't want you to get hurt because of him." How did people find out he was gay?

"Wait, he's gay? How did you find this out?" I try the best I can to sound surprised.

"Well first, look who his friends with, Dan and Phil are dating, Chris and Peej are really flirty and Doddie is bisexual. Hell his only straight friends are Emma, Evan and Connie. Also you can just see it in his personality. There's nothing wrong with it but you know how our town is." I can tell she's lying when she says theirs nothing wrong with it.

"I understand where you're coming from but he's a nice guy and I enjoy being friends with him, what if it's in private? No one has to know."

"Fine, it's just a bit of a warning. Be careful Mark. Anyway I'll talk to you later. Bye Markimoo."

"Bye Amy"

I can't believe her sometimes, but she's right. I can't have a relationship with Jack right now. I need to tell him, or at least come up with a plan or arrangement. Why do I make things so complicated? I continue making pancakes as Jack walks down the stairs. His hair is a mess and he looks sleepy . Sadly he put on a shirt. I set a plate full of pancakes on the table and tell him to dig in. We sit in silence for most of the meal until I decide to talk to him about my call with Amy.

"So I talked to Amy this morning."

"Really? Did you happen to break up with her?" He has such hope in his voice.

"No, not yet. It wasn't the right time. She called to give me a, um, a warning"

"Oh, what was she warning you about?" He suddenly became so sad, it broke my heart.

"She was warning me about you. She doesn't want us being friends because she knows you're gay". His face fills with rage, I feel kinda scared.

"Fucking homophobic bitch. How did she find out. The only people who know are my foster mom and close friends." I'm so surprised he said that about Amy, he seemed like the type of guy that would never say anything bad about anyone. I feel a twinge of anger but I know that he was right about Amy. She was homophobic. Her older sister was pansexual, Amy found out about her sister sexuality from a friend about a month before she came out. When their parents were out Amy would verbally and physically abuse her. Slapping and kicking her. Screaming at her about how she was a 'faggot' and the she would rot in hell. Amy would threaten to tell there parents if her sister didn't comply. When she finally came out a few months ago, Amy sat there smiling, she told me she felt so accomplished , it was actually scary how happy she was. It was kinda surprise because for most of their lives Mona and Amy were closer then any other siblings. She was the first one to suggest her sister move to Florida with their relatives. Her parents agreed and even praised her for the idea. It's still so sad. I still talk to Mona and she's a lot happier now. Her Aunt accepted her and her sexuality with open arms. She even has a girlfriend now. Of course her and her aunt have been forbid from coming to visit but they're ok with that. Amy would kill me if she found out that I still talk to Mona.
