LET'S GO!

~~

I suck up all my courage and join in with the wave of students in the dreaded hallway. I carefully make my way to my locker from last year with only a couple bumps on the shoulder and I lean my head against it.

The cold metal against my skin made me feel just a little better, but I still wanted to go back home where I was safe. These students can be maniacs for all I know.

I dial my locker combination and pull on it, except it didn't budge.

"Ugh, what now?" I mumbled under my breath as I tried and pulled harder.

"Here, let me help you."

Every inch of me jumps, I mean every inch because I even jumped from my feet and created distance between me and this stranger.

"Sorry, if I... scared you?" It came out more like a question than an apology.

It was the kid from the bus stop.

How great.

"The lockers get stuck sometimes for not being used for months, so this is pretty much normal." He explains as he pushes the locker back in then pulls it back.

It worked.

My locker opened.

"Thanks." I almost whispered as I kept my head low and began stuffing my bag in my locker.

"No problem."

Okay, you can leave me alone now.

I took out an empty notebook and my pencil case and hugged it close to me. Shutting my locker close, I turn around and bump into somebody which causes me to fall back.

However, the person managed to catch me and I felt a heated feeling on my waist. Only to find out my hoodie moved up and his hand was still gripping onto my waist. I feel my cheeks burn red and quickly stand straight up, pulling my hoodie back down.

"Sorry." The boy who I thought had left earlier apologized.

"It's okay." I muttered before circling around him and keep my head low once again.

"Wait," He grabs onto my elbow and I tense up from the unwanted contact. "Can you help me? I'm kinda new here."

"And I'm kinda almost late for class." I muttered before shrugging his hand off and diving into the wave up students.

This day has already started off so uncomfortable.

Stupid, hoodie.

It just had to trail up and caused him to touch my bare skin.

Ugh, I feel so gross now.

I just wanna go home.

Under all these thoughts, I make it to my first class which was Biology and my eyes droop at the classroom setup.

You see, it's much different from when you're a freshmen and sophomore at this school. During freshmen year, you have individual seats. While during sophomore, junior, and senior year you're forced to pair up with two or three people in one table.

How exciting, right?

All I wanted to do this whole school year was sit alone, get my work done, and get out of this place. That's all.

"Feel free to take any seat you want." That middle aged woman kindly tells me, probably noticing I've been standing at the entrance for a while.

I just nod my head and go for the table right in front of the class. I knew for a fact people wouldn't want to sit that close to a teacher. I think I'm gonna be fine now.
