College Life Starts ( RIYA'S POV)

Hope you all enjoyed the first chap. I know it was a small one but it's just a introduction part so I kept it small.
Here is the next chapter. It's about the way Riya gets her college group and how she enjoys her time.

All the faculty gave a brief about themselves and about the college. Soon they all left saying it's a ice breaking session between the freshers and seniors. They started off with a welcome song and few dances which was awarded with huge round of applause. Then they took us around the college for showing it around. Me and Neha were in different groups. Hell!!!!
But luckily I had a good talk with few people in the group. We had a small intro. After the visit they announced a lunch break. We went to canteen and grabbed a packet of wafers each and got a table to sit. It was a table of 6 but we were only two still we went to it. Couple of girls joined us; had a chit chat with them and left for the classes again.

Post lunch was for cheering up the freshers. They wanted us to show case our talents. No one was ready to come up on their own so they started calling up names.
They called up few people but not all were interested in coming up to perform. Suddenly the guy with mice called out "Aryan". I was completely lost in my world but suddenly looked up hearing this name. It sounded similar. I waited for the guy to reach the stage and then I realized he is the same guy whom I had a talk with during the college campus visit before lunch. As he got to stage he gave me a small smile for which I also nodded and smiled.

"Babe looks like you got a guy very soon " Neha whispered in my ears making me moving my eye balls from Aryan.
Me:" What? " I didn't hear her clearly so I wanted her to repeat what she said.
Neah:" Looks like you are lost in dreams with this Aryan whatever. By the way baby he is damn hot. Girls would sign up for war to get him. You are lucky."
I gave her a angry look for which she side hugged me. "Babe I just had a talk with him while on college campus tour. Sort of good guy."
Yes commenting on his looks he was damn hot. He had a perfect body maybe he works out in gym for hours.
The senior handed over the stage to him and he introduced himself. The couple of girls behind us were commenting on his looks which was heard clearly and Neha was trying hard to control her laughter. I was wondering what this guy was upto. Then he suddenly took the guitar from the guy and started playing my favorite song "Raabta". He was singing too. He had a perfect voice, flowed along the notes, his fingers were easing on the strings of guitar making all girls go awww. As soon as he finished there was a round of applause n cheers for him. Few were calling once more once more! Yes he had driven the whole class mad at him. Neha literally pulled me and that was when I realized that I was completely lost in the song. (Not in the guy 😉) Neha was giggling as a 5 year kid. "U know I love that song" I pinched her.
"I thought u love the guy."
"huh!!! Neha u know me only that much.? " I said with a pout
She rolled her eyes and looked ahead smiling.
The seniors were appreciating his talents and he left the stage with his eyes glued on me. Oh even I was looking at him without a blink.
Then suddenly the senior called out my name. Shit. I was really in no mood to perform anything but Neha literally pushed me to the stage. "U r dead dear" my mind voice.
He asked me for my introduction. As I was done with it he said I have a sweet voice.
OK! So u r flirting with me in front of some 100 students? Better be careful.
I smiled and looked and Neha who was fuming hearing the comment. So yeah which talent should I show? Yes of course I'm multi talented. Thanks to my mom who made sure I'm so.
I decided to dance as I'm a good dancer too. I asked the guy to play some good song. I don't know what he thought and he played Drama Queen from the movie Hasee tho Phasee.
I have already performed on that song so that was nothing new for me.
I did the moves with ease n joy.
It seemed that he was in no mood to stop the song so I myself decided to stop it. There was a round of applause after it. I blushed as Aryan gave me a thumbs up. No I really didn't blush as it was not my first time when I'm performing on stage in front of such a big audience but his thumbs up with that naughty smile playing in his lips, I could feel my cheek turning red. I decided to hide it and smiled ear to ear at Neha. The seniors gave positive comments and even requested me to join the committee.
Wohoooo but only if Neha joins too.
Next few students came up and show cased their talents and then he called up Neha's name. Now its my turn to push her. oh yeah she is an excellent singer. She sang a melodious old Bollywood song. There was a loud applause as she finished it. People were appreciating her talent. as she was reach her seat, a senior called her and they were talking something for which Neha was simply nodding and smiling. As she sat besides, I was to ask her what did the girl said. Neha being Neha answered me before I asked. She was also asked to join the student committee.

With things like this and few more timepasses they ended the day and we went home.
