"You think we can make it to chick in time for breakfast?" Kelly asked me as she backed out of her parking spot. Oh, the perks of being a senior and having a half schedule. I looked at my watch, it was 10:23. Breakfast ended at 10:30 and we were five minutes away, not counting traffic and red lights.
"Maybe, if you drive fast. Please do I want some chicken minis so bad right now," I told her.
"We're gonna make it. I will get you those chicken minis!" She exclaimed as we turned out of the school.
We pulled into the chick fil a drive through at 10:29. Kelly looked at the time then looked at me and we high fived. She pulled up to the little ordering box thingy and placed our order. After we got our food we took it back to my house. Kelly walked inside and went straight to my living room, plopping down on the couch and pulling her food out of the bag. She was pretty comfortable in my
house considering we'd been best friend for ten years now. She didn't even knock when she came over anymore, just walked in and came upstairs to my room. It's cool that she's basically like family.I sat down next to her on the couch and grabbed the remote, looking through the guide to see what was on that was good. I eventually settled on fairly odd parents, even though I was technically an adult since I just turned eighteen I still loved cartoons. How could you not?
Half way through the show Kelly's phone started ringing. I would bet a million dollars that it was Jason. She looked at her phone and sure enough I heard her groan of disapproval. She hit the lock button on her phone so that it would stop ringing but wouldn't send him to voicemail right away. I chuckled.
"Aren't you gonna answer lover boy? Don't make him cry twice in one day," I teased her. She threw a pillow at me, missing terribly and hitting my dog with it instead.
"Aww Goober did Kelly hit you? She's so mean," I cooed while reaching over to pet him.
"Oh shut up, we both know Goober loves me more than you," Kelly said. I rolled my eyes.
"Whatever you tell yourself so you can sleep at night," I said with a smirk. All of the sudden she was lunging at me, and before I knew it she had me pinned down on the couch. She was straddling my waist and held my wrists above my head so that I couldn't move my arms. I swallowed harshly, this position made me uncomfortable but at the same time I didn't want to get up.
"Say that Goober loves me more," she said.
"Nope, never," I retorted back, trying my best to hide how uncomfortably comfortable I was.
"Last warning, say it now," she said, trying her best to sound intimidating.
"Or else what?" I challenged.
"Or else... um... or else I'm never talking to you again," she said with a satisfied smirk, as if she'd come up with the most genius plan on the earth. I frowned, pretending she'd actually hurt my feelings.
"Fine... Goober loves me more," I couldn't let her win. I knew she didn't mean a word that she said, I don't know if we'd be able to survive without each other at this point.
"Okay, you asked for it," she started to tickle me in the only spot that I'm ticklish in, my stomach. And she was one of the few people that about knew that, though I wish she didn't. I started laughing so hard I couldn't breathe, so I used all of my energy that I had left to flip our positions and pin her down instead.
"Ha, what you gonna do now?" I asked her. I didn't realize how close our faces were until I felt
her breath on my lips. I had to really try to hold back a moan, biting my lip instead. I pulled back slightly so that I could put some distance between us before I did something really, really stupid.
