"When and where did you lose your virginity?"

I looked at him and he was serious. He went right to the personal questions. I mean it wasn't so invading but it was still weird that he just came out and asked that.

"Um what?!" I asked. I got all nervous when he asked that.

"You heard what I asked I'm not asking it again." he said blushing and looking away

"Well if you have to know, I am still a virgin." I said embarrassed and ashamed. I was very clearly blushing. I was still a virgin because I still hadn't found the right girl yet. In high school, especially mine, if you were a virgin you were called gay or you were just plain made fun of. Normal stuff.

"Can I tell you a secret?" Logan asked. "I'm kind of still a virgin too." he confessed getting red in the face. He was clearly embarrassed.

I was genuinely confused. He always talked about getting with all these girls and going on dates and stuff. "Oh... okay" I just said not wanting to press on. I didn't want to embarrass him further.

I didn't really know what to do next. We were just sitting there in a weird awkward silence. Luckily, my phone started to ring. It was Jessica, thank God because she could save me.

I picked up. "Hello?" I said.

"Hey Lux, how's your date with Logan going?" She laughed. She was a crazy friend and everyone needed one of them in their life.

I walked out the room. "Not funny." I said sternly.

"It's a little funny Lux, lighten up a little." She chided.

"It's not going good though. We are just so different people and we are so awkward. I don't know what to do." I worried.

"Why don't you play like some video games or something. Do something guy-ish. I don't know Lux, you're the guy figure it out!" Jessica told me with a sigh and hung up on me.

"Thanks." I mumbled. I headed back to the room where Logan was on his phone scrolling through Instagram. "Hey, do you wanna play some video games or something?" I asked him nervously.

"Sure I'm up for it! I totally forgot about that. What should we play?" he asked his body relaxing.
For the next hour or so, we played some Call of Duty and just talked about random school stuff. We talked about our grades and friends. He had surprisingly good grades for a football player. He talked about his football friends but it sounded like he wasn't really close with them.

"LOGAN!!" His mom called him from downstairs. He groaned and got up and left me to his own devices. I heard him lumber down the stairs out of hearing range.

I decided to just text my mom to tell her I was alive and stuff before she freaked out. My mom and I always had a good relationship. She was a single parent because my dad left when I was 10 so about 6 years ago. He was an alcoholic but he wasn't always. My mom raised my brother and I, but I rarely see my brother being that he's away in college two states away. Daniel and I had an okay relationship. We didn't really talk much when we were children but we were okay together.

About 5 minutes later, Logan came back upstairs and into the room. "Hey, my mom wanted to know if you were gonna stay for dinner. I would like it if you stayed but if you can't that's okay." he said. He walked over to his night table and grabbed his phone of his charger. He was very reserved when he was at home. He was peaceful and much calmer. He was a totally different person. I would have loved to have him as a friend If it wasn't for his friends. If I was ever caught hanging out with a guy like him, we would both never be able to live it down.

"Of course, I'll stay"
