Lucy's POV
Me and Natsu were on a mission together it was about capturing a group of dark mages that were tererizing a town of merchants.
"PLEASE STOP IT!" I screamed a man in a cloak held Natsu's body by his neck and threw him around like a toy, he tried to get pulled out a dagger and stabbed him. The whole world stopped and her eyes widened magic surrounded and and she let out a blood curling scream and a bright light blinded them.
When the light disappeared and the man was gone but Natsu was on the ground "Natsu!" I rushed straight to and picked him up and laid his head on my lap,his eyes that once looked bright and pure now looked dull and dark, his skin was pale and cold, and his hair was covered blood and his lips were covered in dry blood.
"L-Luce..." his voice was raspy and and scrachted, he coughed out blood and I wiped it off his cheeks "NO save your strength!" i tried to cover the wound with my hands but blood leaked out of my hand.I started to cry and sob.
"Lucy don't think I will make it-" "No don't talk nonsense I'll get you to the guild and you'll be okay then things will be the same again, right!?" "I don't think I'll make it that far..." his eyelids tried to close but I shook him "No stay with me you promised that you won't leave me I need you!" he smiled at me and lifted his hand and touched my cheek and wiped my tears.
I tried to ignore the fact that I knew he leave but I knew it was true."You can't leave not now -" "Lucy...tell the guild I love them... Erza, ice princess, iron head everyone please, this ... will be my last goodbye..." "No Natsu you're not leaving!
"No Natsu please stay here with me! You said you won't leave me" My tears coming down fast and fell in his face.
"I'm ...sorry..." his tears clung to his eyelashes and began to fall down his face.
I wrapped my arms around his back and sat him up. I leaned down slowly and connected my lips with his they were cold but slightly warm. His head dropped down and he went limp in my arms."Natsu?" no response "Natsu!" My tears came down salty and hot.I picked up my head and wailed" NATSU! YOU PROMISED WE'D BE TOGETHER FOREVER!"
I woke up screaming, and looked around. I looked at my bed he wasn't there,"Natsu... please come back...I ... love you..." suddenly I felt two arms wrap around me "I love you too..." a ghostly voice whispered in my ear but I didn't look up I knew I'd regret it.The feeling was familiar, yet somehow different but I didn't care I knew he was here with me.
Natsu Dragneel, was still protecting me.
