The floorboards creaked underneath my feet as I padded down the hallway to the room that I felt most comfortable in. I gently pushed the door open and tip-toed inside, climbing into the bed.

The owner of the bed rolled over, waking up. “Marble?” he asked sleepily. “Aren’t you too old for this?” he asked.

I shook my head. “Being fifteen still counts as being a child, you know,” I smiled, although he probably couldn’t see it in the dark.

Kale groaned and rolled back over so that he was facing away from me. “I’m too old for this,” he muttered, scooting away from me.

Laughing, I moved closer to him, closing the gap that he had made. “Twenty five is still young,” I argued, head-butting him lightly. “You’re fine.” My arms hugged his waist, my hands ‘accidentally’ brushed over his hard muscular abdomen.

My cousin grumbled something incoherent as he rubbed his face. “Just go to sleep,” he mumbled into his palm.

“Kale?” I asked.

“What do you want now?” he growled, turning his head slightly to glare at me from the corner of his eye.

I like you…

I shook my head, sliding further under the covers. “It’s nothing,” I assured him. “Forget I said anything.”

What is this? A prologue for the side story? How wonderful!

Just a warning: these chapters will be short. There will also not be many of them.
