I close my car door as I step out into the stormy night. I was called here to come and claim another assignment. The rain is deafening as I make my way to the dark grey door on the side of the street. The metal handle is cold and wet as I turn it and push open the heavy door. A rush of humid air hits me in the face as I push the hood of my black rain coat back. My aqua blue eyes trace the checkered patterned floor of the dimmed hallway as I make my way to the room in the back. I lift up my head and push away a couple strands of my auburn hair out of my face as I reach the final door. I turn the handle and walk through the door and I am greeted by a gravely voice.
"Nice to see you again, Agent McFischbach."
"Just use my first name, Mr. Sharp. It'll save you time." I say, a bit annoyed. I have been telling him for years to use my first name.
Mr. Sharp laughs. "Come have a seat, I have another task for you." He motions for me to take a seat in the chair across from him. I slowly make my way over to the chair and sit down.
"Okay," I say as I get myself situated on the uncomfortable plastic. "What is it?"
"Well there is this truck... And I need what it has inside. And-" he explains but I cut him off.
"So what is gonna be inside the truck?" I ask bluntly.
"That information is nothing that concerns you Agent, and anyways it's none of your business" he says leaning forward, looking me straight in my eyes.
"Okay then..." I mumble quietly to myself braking the eye contact as I glance away for a second.
"What was that?!" he asks sternly, as if he was my father.
"I didn't say anything.." I say acting confused, looking back his way.
"Well then, McFischbach. Here's the address and information paper," he says a bit irritated, as he extends his arm with the paper for me to take from him.
I hesitantly take it from him, a little frustrated since called me by my last name again. I then look over the white printing paper. And the first thing I notice is that the only thing on the paper was the address in the right hand corner. So I start to open my mouth to ask him about it, but I immediately change my mind and close it again.
"So, do you have any questions?" he asks me, questionable.
"No sir, I don't." I say respectfully, even though I do have a question.
"Good. Now move along McFischBach!" Mr. Sharp says.
"Okay sir, I'm going," I say as I stand up and walk slowly to the door, in which I came in through.
"Hurry up Agent! I'm not getting any younger!!" He says kind of angry.
"Haha, good one sir!" I say as I laugh fakely, and walk out the first door leading to the second door that leads outside.
As the door shuts behind me I ignorantly say under my breath, Well I'm not getting any younger either...
