Bad Pick Up Lines

A/N: I think I'll put how far into their relationship they are at the start of each one shot so that your guys don't get confused as to how new/old the relationship is to them.

This one's age is 10 months, so it's around October of the following school year.

"April!"

"Yes James?"

"Are you a banana?"

"James what the heck?!"

"Cuz I find you a-peeling!"

And that was how the longest day of my life started.

James and I both had a free Saturday, which were pretty rare now that Quidditch season had started. The team was always busy practicing, so I never got to hang out with Sirius, James, or Remus anymore.

This particular Saturday I had decided to spend with James. He suggested that we hang out in this cool room he found, called the Room of Requirement. It could somehow read your mind and give you exactly what you need. It was amazing!

We met in there around noon, then we just hung out.

However, there was a downfall to all of this.

Most of the day, James was saying muggle pick up lines to me.

"Are you from Tennessee?"

"Because you're the only ten I see!"

"Who even told you that one?! We live in the bloody U.K.!!"

"Hey April"

"Hi James"

"Do you have a bandaid?"

"Are you hurt? What's wrong?!"

"Because I think I scraped my knee falling for you!"

"For heavens sake, JAMES!!!"

"Was that an earthquake or did you just rock my world?"

"Your worlds going to be rocked when I punch you in the mouth."
........................
"Are you a parking ticket? Because you've got fine written all over you!"

"....you don't even have a car....."

"Do you have a name or can I call you mine?"

"If you say one more pickup line I will walk out of this school."

"If you were a booger I'd pick you first."

"Goodbye Hogwarts, it was fun while it lasted..."

It eventually got to the point where I couldn't even speak to him without a pick up line coming at me. So, I decided to stop talking to him.

Thats right.

I gave James Potter the silent treatment.

"Hey, babe, what movie do you want to watch. I think its your turn to pick," James said.

"April? Is everything alright?" I could hear him coming to look for me. I was in the kitchen while making popcorn.

"You're really starting to worry me now, speak to me!"

"It's about the pickup lines, isn't it? I KNEW I shouldn't have listened to Sirius!!" James' voice rang out from behind me. I concentrated on the stove where the popcorn was popping.

He came up behind me and wrapped him arms around me in a hug. It felt good to be held like that, but I held my ground. A person can not badger me with pickup lines all day and get away with it!

"April, how can I make you happy again?" He whispered in my ear. I remained quiet.

"Will a kiss make it better?" When James whispered this, I turned around.

He smiled and held out a bag. Inside were tons of tiny wrapped silver droplets. I realized that he was holding out a bag of Hershey's kisses.

"This is cute, but no thank you. I'd rather have a real one," I smirked as I turned around and walked into the movie room.

"I still love chocolate though!" I called as I heard James walking behind me.

"Well, it looks like I can provide you with both," he whispered in my ear as he sat next to me on the couch.

It was only later that I found the text from Sirius that seemed to have started this whole mess

Hey sis, sending James over armed with Hersheys and pickup lines. Good luck ;)

This means war Black.

So this is the first one shot in my spinoff (?) of Soulmate!!

The reason that Sirius has a phone is bc April gave it to him so they could communicate.

I'll probably make a part two to this one, but I'm not sure

Sorry this is kinda rushed, it's 3 am where I am and my laptop is on 1%

I also might do a part of them finishing their time at disney, but I might not. I'll take this book wherever my mind takes me.
