The buses had just unloaded for the first day of middle school. I was really nervous and didn't think I was going to make many friends. My name is Shannon and this is the story of how I met my best friends.
"Umm.... excuse me" I said to the girl walking in front of me in the hallway.
"Yeah" she said back to me. "Do you know where mrs. Donahoes room is?" "Oh sure it's right next to my home room, just follow me" she said. "Thank-you so much I cried." "Your welcome, oh and what's your name?" "Shannon." "My name is Katie" she said. "Do you want to sit with me at lunch" Katie asked. "Umm.. I think I have to sit with my friend Julianne" I said back to her. "Ohh.... well she can sit with us too" she exclaimed. "Ok" I yelled. I was so excited to have met my very first friend.
That morning in home room we got our schedules and met all of our teachers. Turns out I was in Katie's first period class.
