wake up!

----ladybugs POV----

Another sleepless night. All I could think about was Gabriel Agrest. I now had a new found hate for him and one part of me was glad he was gone. It's bean two days since Adrien was stabbed. and I'm visiting him again today.

It was now noon and there was nurses and doctors still going in and out. "How is he doing" I asked, stopping one of nurses from leaving
"No one told you, he should be waking up soon, in about an hour"

I was over joyed. I looked at his peaceful face but was struck with a disturbing thought. his father is dead, his mother went missing years ago and he has no aunts, uncles or grandparents! where would he go where he gets out of hear! 

"ladybug no~" he mumbled squirming under the white sheats. he was waking up! he was also having a nightmare. I got out of the chair and sat on the bed next to him. he still looked a little restless and his hair was half over his eyes. I brushed his hair back off his forehead, the hurt expression on his face disappeared and he looked peaceful again. he began to slowly open his eyes, "M-Marinette? wheres ladybug. Hawkmoth! I jumped in front of him! WHERE IS SHE!" he desperately tried to sit up. "Adrien please relax, I'm Ladybug, you saved me"  I said hoping he would relax and that he wouldn't be disappointed that it was me. his face lit up with an adorable smile "really, I'm so glad your ok!" he said pulling me down into a hug. I started to blush  but I hugged him tightly back, I'm so glad he's ok.

"but why am I hear,  what happened" he said letting go of the warm hug. "look at your chest, hawkmoth stabbed you when you jumped in front of me. your not indestructible you silly kitty" I said jokingly. he gave me a worried smile as he looked at his wounded chest. "how long have I been asleep", "only two days, you were chat when he stabbed you so your little kwami 
Plag saved you with his powers and its some how making you heal faster." I had the pleasure of meeting him while  he was in hospital and Tiki and Plag hit it off really well. 

"where's my father" he asked. What am I going to do! I wasn't prepared to tell him. He only just woke up!  to make matters worse Alya and Nino walked in. "Adrien dude your awake!" Nino said running in and hugging him. "carful Nino!" Alya said "oh, right sorry dude". "its ok, nice to see you guys" Adrien said slowly sitting up and fist bumping Nino instead. 

"finally, the great Chat Noir and Ladybug know each others identities!" Alya said throwing here arms in the air "wait you told him right?" I nodded.  " HOW DO THEY KNOW!" Adrien said surprised. "well... everyone knows, the news did a whole hour long program on it. ya know how we saved  Paris and all" I said little nervous. he was a little shocked but not fused. "anyway, so where my father". dammit, what am I supposed to do, I don't want him to stress, it won't be good for him. I looked at Alya for help but she just gave me a sad little nod to tell him the heartbreaking news. I walked over to him and sat next to him on the edge of the bed. "Adrien, your dad was Hawkmoth and after he thought he had killed you he um... committed suicide". he looked at his toes and tears started to well up in his eyes. "oh, ok" he said as a small tear rolled down his cheek. 

"we should probably go" Alya sid grabbing Nino's hand and walking out the door. "yeah um, we will see you tomorrow" he said letting his girlfriend lead him out the door. "sorry" I said looking down at my hands which were rested in my lap. Adrien then unexpectedly slowly grabbed one of my hands and rested his head on my shoulder. I blushed a little and held his hand tight. "would it be too much to ask of you to maybe stay the night, I don't want to be alone" he said. "of course I will" 

that evening my dad dropped off a pair of pj's and change of clothes. the nurses did their final cheque up and by then it was 9:30pm, lights out. they couldn't bring in an extra bed so I slept on the chair for half the night. 

it was 1:00am and I had only gotten an hour of sleep. the chair was so uncomfortable! "you don't look so comfortable, Mari" Adrien said yawning, "not really" I chuckled tiredly, "well you can come sleep with me?" I was slightly shocked. "um, ok" I said slowly walking over to the bed where Adrien lay holding the blanket up for me. I slowly crawled under the nice warm covers. the light coming through the window was dim but I could still see his face. "thank you, this is much better" I smiled. "no, thank you. I really needed a friend today and well I got better than that" what do you mean 'better than that', as in more of a friend?! I screamed internally. "w-what do you mean, m-more than a friend" I asked cautiously, "well um, I just feel closer to you compared to other people. I really like you" he said sounding a little nervously. 

The guy I've had a crush on since I was 14 (we're 16 now) has literally just told me he likes me back!!! "I-I really l-like you to" I whispered. He closed his eyes and kissed me on the lips! his lips are soft and as he slips one of his hands through my hair his hands are warm. we both pull away from the kiss with a quiet pop. "Good night Bugaboo" he said with a satisfied smile, "good night kitty" I said smiling back.
