So Far

Chapter 2

"Baby girl. You know if you wanted me to come out there all you had to do was ask. I wanna be with you every second of every day. But I didn't want to push you," Ryan said from the other end of the phone.

"I know you would have. I just don't want to pull you away from school. And when you aren't busy with school you're with your family, and I don't want to stop you from being with them either."

"Babe, I can go see my family whenever I miss them. That's not an option with you. Any chance I get to see your beautiful face I'm going to take. Talk to your boss and see when she'll let you have your week off. I'll buy a ticket and come out there."

" Are you sure...?"

"Yes of course babe. I want to do whatever I can to make you happy. I can't be there forever and I can't come out every month. But this is something I can do. And I'll do anything for you, you know that."

"That means so much to me. You mean so much to me."

"You mean a lot to me too princess."

I heard a door shut and then a couple of male voices saying something I couldn't quite make out. Then Ryan spoke again.

"Baby girl, James brought some friends and they want to go out to dinner.."

"It's fine. Go enjoy yourself RyRy. I'll talk to you tomorrow."

"Alright."

"Bye babe."

"Goodbye princess. I love you."

I ended the call and then walked over to my bed flopping down on it, not being able to stop a smile from forming. Every time I talked to him I fell for him a bit more. He made me so happy. I knew we were cheesy as fuck but I loved every bit of it. I wouldn't change anything about us.

It took a long time for me to find someone like Ryan. I had never been one to settle for less than I deserved. I had high expectations of how I wanted my boyfriend to treat me, and he was the first in a long time to fulfill them. He made me smile and I made him feel good. This was our relationship. And in my eyes it was perfect, despite the difficulties of him being so far away from me.
