CHAPTER XIII: MAKE SENSE

Jade's POV:

"Now it makes sense." Karl said after he read dad's letter for me. "What do you mean? Did you know something else besides what dad said to that letter?" I ask Karl

"Actually I don't know any of this but right before dad died he talks to me. He said that I need to look out for you. Guide you as you learn more and more about your powers. He even told me that if the right time comes I need to train you to practice your powers."

"What? They are the one that always remind us not to use our powers against the other people and not to use it for our own benefits right?" I said to Karl and he nodded and said "yeah but I think dad want me to prepare you for what might happened. Like what it said in the letter if you're one of the chosen four you really need to learn how to use your power."

"That's why I stay here in South Shield not only for the university but to train myself and learn more about my powers. Dad made me find a man, he is a good friend of dad he told me that he is a witch and dad is his white lighter." -Karl

"He is a witch I thought witch is only a girl and warlock is for a guy" I said to Karl and shake his head off.

"No, a witch can be a female or a male like me. Not because I'm half white lighter and half witch doesn't mean I'm excluded. Warlocks are same as witches but only evil. They practices dark magic and they weren't chanting spells they more on power. That's why if someone succumbed and greed more power when a certain witch ascend they practically end up as evil witch or some called dark witch for a girl and warlock for a man." Karl explain to me which I found very interesting and he is amazing 'coz he knows this things.

"Wow! Karl I didn't know you have a lot of knowledge about our kind. Mom really doesn't talk to me that kind of stuff. How did you know all of this?" I said to Karl and he smirk against what I just said to him.

"I learn it to that man and he trained me as well. Mom really doesn't want to talk about it cause she think the less thing you know the better and so you can fit in. But clearly now that we knows about what dad knows it is completely the opposite. We need to figure out to channel your power and explore it as possible." Karl said and I agree on what he said. I don't want to take a risk if someone really after me.

I need to protect myself and the people that surround me. One thing I know about demons is that they will do anything to hurt you and the people you care about.

"I know you have too many questions about this stuff I'm gladly answer your question if I knew but for now I think you have many information for one day so let set this off for a while so you can process all things that happened today I don't want you to stress yourself out because of this. Take some rest you still have a school tomorrow." -Karl

"But what if someone is working now against us and we might be too late to find the other three witches. Then we're screwed and the bad will wins." I said like I lose hope.
