Pic of Sam

----------------------

The sun beaming down almost blinding as I walked to work. The summer air was cool still the heat got to me as I had a light coat of sweat showing as I walked. The busy streets to my side, cars zooming to their destination.

"Spare change?" A man asked, his voice sounded raspy and over used, I looked to him.  Jeans cut up nearly everywhere, shirt a bit stretched out, a small black sweater he had on the floor dirty from the dirt ground not far from its place on the floor.

I look to his face as I took out my wallet, his eyes were really blue. They seemed familiar, but he turned his face averting his gaze to something else.

I took out a $20 and handed it to him. He slowly accepted it looking back to my eyes, I tried to pull my gaze but his eyes were just mesmerizing.

"Thank you kind sir." He said his voice lost how it originally sounded and sounded clear as day. Sounded like a young male maybe, but before anything else was said my watch started beeping.

"Shoot." I said, starting my sprint back to work.  I hurried down the streets almost getting hit by a car as I crossed the street. Not my fault, it was my time to cross. I didn't have time to tell him or her off as I ran the next two blocks.

Just as I got to the last crosswalk I see someone looking over at me. I didn't acknowledge it, probably just seeing I'm panting for air for sprinting these two long ass streets.

The light changed and I walked on, about halfway I look inside and see Henry being held at gun point. We were being robbed, I wasn't going to let that happen.

A little girl was inside looking scared and about to cry. She saw me approaching and I calmed her from outside. I mouth 'It's ok'

I took out my phone and speed dialed my Brother. I walked up to the door, the little ding making people turn their heads to me. I look to the man with the weapon, right handed, shaking, inexperienced. I look over to the gun and see my one advantage.

"Can I help you?" I asked, he pointed the gun to me this time.

"You can lock those doors and get with the rest of those people." He said pointing to the people already inside crowded together.

"Why?" I asked, he had a genuine look of confusion.

"Do you want a bullet through your skull?" He asked, I shook my head.

"Can I ask you something?" I said walking up to him, he pointed the gun back to my head.

"Back up." He said, I did as he said.

"Ok ok. Just trying to be polite." I said, again the confusion rained over his face.

"Get with your friend and clean out the register for me." He said, I look to Henry as he was very scared. I walked up to the counter next to the man as he kept his distance and pointed the gun to me.

"It's going to be ok Henry." I said, he looked to my eyes still shaking a bit but slowly nodded.

"HURRY UP!" The man shouted, which is when I started. I reached and snatched the gun out of his hand andr took off the safety.
