''please help us, he's hopeless''
"but what if he really doesn't want to date anyone?"
"he's the heir to the business, he needs to get married"
"but what do I have to do with it?"
"please, you're our only hope"

You couldn't force love, that wasn't possible. Sure you may think it is, but in the end, it's just empty happiness, empty promises. Love needs time, love needs trust, and most of all, two willing people to put in the effort.
So when Mina was asked to do just that, force a person to love, she was really confused. She was always taught that love can never be forced, but here she was, trying to find a way to do so.
She was approached by a family friend, two parents of two children, one reaching his twenties next year. Fortunately, he also went to her university, which she didn't know till she was told by her parents. He wasn't the attention-seeking type, so it was right to assume he was no where near her circle of friends.
In fact, the only time she's meet him personally was at a house party. Her family visited his, but even then, he barricaded himself in his room. She met his sister first, a bright and intelligent girl, Sofia. Sofia insisted that Mina meet her older brother, and so, after screaming a wooden door for fifteen minutes, an annoyed male, opened the door.
She was interested at first, but she never thought much about the whole thing. He was attractive, but she had her own crushes to deal with, she didn't want another one to add to the list. They greeted, before he slammed the door closed, making the two females jump.
"I'm sorry about my brother, he's not the talkative type"
"It's alright, he seems nice"
But here she was, wandering the hallway after school, trying to find this same person. If she wasn't mistaken, his name was Hansol, or Vernon, according to Sofia. She also said he usually came from late because he tend to stay after school in the music room, doing who knows what.
Taking a left, she heard what she assumed was a male voice, rapping? Inching closer, her steps became quiet as she neared the door. She eyed the male whom the voice belong to, the wooden door preventing him from noticing her standing there.
"He's got talent, I'll give him that"
This was a talent that couldn't be ignored, why does he choose not to do so then? It's confusing in her opinion. Sure it wasn't a romantic song accompanied by a guitar, but he had a passion for it, any girl would swoon over him.
That wasn't the point, the point was to befriend, at least. She needed to get to know him, for one, it would be easier to set him up with a female, but she did actually want to know him, aside from the guy she met briefly at a house party.
Striking her knuckles against the wooden door, she pushed the knob, allowing herself in. She poked her head first before her body followed. He stared at her from where he sat, behind the piano that sat in the far corner. He raised a brow, his stare never ending.
"Shouldn't you be going home or something?"
"Right, um Hi, I'm Mina, your sister said I would find you here?"
"Sofia? What did she set up this time?"
"Oh nothing, she wanted to let you know that she would be staying over at a friend's house tonight, so you wouldn't need to pick her up after her practice"
"Cool, um thanks I guess"
Well this was going better than expecting, it's like talking to cardboard. He's showing no interest, it's frustrating to say the least.
"Right, you're welcome, um, sorry, what's your name?"
"Hansol, I think we met somewhere, I don't remember where"
At least he had the decency to remember her. She hadn't even left her spot, yet she's already feeling like he wants her to leave.
"Yeah, I think we have, what were just doing before I interrupted?"
Good Job Mina, you've managed to keep to the conversation going.
He looked to his lyric sheet before scratching the back of his head. She walked towards him, his eyes moving to her figure moving. It wasn't till she stood beside him that his eyes moved to her face
"Oh these, it's just some lyrics, nothing much"
She scanned over the scribbled words briefly, a small smile playing on her lips as she glanced at his shy expression. She took a seat on the wooden bench, prompting him to slowly scoot closer to the edge if possible. She didn't take much thought of it.
Did I smell bad? Oh god, did I forget to put deodorant on?
"Anyways, sorry to bother you, I'll be going now"
She quickly got up from her seat, scurrying towards the door as quick as she could. She walked down the hallways before leaning against the wall, clearly out of breath. She sighed as she checked the time.
Great, missed practice because of that kid, he's lucky his parents are sweet, or I wouldn't be doing him this favor. Whatever it's called.
