-crunch-
I woke up to the sound of leaves cracking and my steady breathing. I was warm, and I saw a blanket draped over me. My vision was blurred, but my hearing was fine. So I was kinda surprised when I listened closer, and heard a man's heavy breathing. I squeezed my eyes shut for a minute, then opened them with clearer vision. Yes, it was a man, and he was carrying me. I lifted my arms, then collapsing them back because of my lack of strength and the cold. The man stopped and looked at me. He had dark eyes and brown hair. His arms were muscly and his hair was slick with sweat and grime.
I moaned pitifully as a throb pounded inside my skull. The man just grunted and kept walking.
Somehow I fell asleep, and now I woke up, by a creek bed. The man had sat me on the ground, and was dipping a red rag into the water. He pulled it out, then gently wiped my forehead clean of dirt and blood. I sighed in relief at the water, cold yes, but I haven't had a bath since this whole thing started. It felt good to feel at least a little clean again.
He continued to wipe me down, first the rest of my head, arm, then legs. As he was scrubbing the rest of my ankles, I tried to speak.
"Hey, I-I need to, know who-" I began horsily, but was cut off." Shut up. Ain't gonna do you no good if ya don't shut your damn mouth.", he snapped. I shut my mouth and put my head onto a pile of leaves, and quickly drifted off to sleep.
I woke to a the bright orange haze coming from a window. My eyes sleepily opened, tired, the pounding returning to my skull. I yawned and wiggled my toes, feeling the warmth on the-
Wait.
Toes?! When did I take off my shoes?
I looked under the bed sheet, and I saw my naked body. I quickly pulled the sheet back over me, feeling watched by invisible eyes. I looked around for my baggy clothes, but they were nowhere to be found.
Great. I was in a room stark naked with no clothes.
I sighed angrily. Where was that man?
I yelled for someone, anyone really. A minute later I heard quick footsteps coming up what I presume are stairs. They opened the door.
"She's awake."
