" Woof!".........."no I don't wanna, w-wake up!"........woof!"..........."nooooo bad dog"............."woof!woof!woof!........" FINE I'LL WAKE UP!, STUPID DOG!!" Laura screams at the dog through her bedroom window."what time is it??" Laura asked herself she looks over at her clock to see its 5:00am. "Well I guess I could head out to the tree house for a while" Laura says as she throws on her leather jacket.
As she stumbles down to the tree at the end of the Field she sees a rope hanging from a branch, she pulls herself up the rope and climbs onto a wooden platform at the highest peak of the tree. What was amazing about the tree that nobody new about it not even her little brother , she used scrap wood,some log pieces and a good bit of rope to tie it. As Laura Climbed onto the platform she reaches out to a bag of blackberries and squeezes the last few drops of the remaining ones. She reaches for her denim bag to try and find another bag of blackberries, she found her pocket knife, a map, some rope and a first aid kit but no blackberries. "Guess I'll have to pick some more before the hedge trimmer gets at it" Laura chuckled. Laura looks at her watch to see its almost 7:30. " crap!!" "Mums going to wake up soon I better get going!!"Laura shouted. She zipped up her denim bag and raced down the tree.
Laura managed to get home without anyone seeing her. She sneaks into the kitchen and pours herself a bowl of cereal. Bang! Crash!
(Wonder what that was?) Laura thinks to herself.
"Ooooooowwww!" Laura's mum screeches in pain. "Laura help I down the stairs again!!" Laura rushes out of the kitchen to see her mother on the ground with scratches down her knees.
"Mum thank goodness you're okay!" Laura explained as she picks up her mother by her arm.
"Yeah thank goodness." Laura's mother joked. "Hey Laura why are you so muddy?" Laura's mother looks up at her daughter to see her beautiful jacket covered in mud
"Oh...uh...went out to feed the dog this morning he must have jumped on me!" Laura replies quickly and anxiously.
"Anyway honey your brother won't be home until noon he has a soccer finals till 5:00"
"Okay mum, want some breakfast?"
"No I'm quite alright I'll just make myself a smoothie."
"Oops! Sorry I ate the last of the blackberries this morning"
"Oh it's quite alright honey, why don't you go pick some from the back lane?"
"Great idea!"
Laura grabbed two ziplock bags and ran outside hiding one bag in her jacket.
As she picked the berries she checked them and made sure she only got the good ones. For her mother and the leftover ones for herself. She loved the way the bees wouldn't sting her if she accidentally picked one that a bee was about to get. As she ran home she saw a strange man, he was wearing a blue suit and her mother,father,grandmother and grandfather were at the table talking to him. Laura couldn't hear what he was saying but her parents and grandparents were definitely not happy about it. Laura ran in to the kitchen only to hear "Laura sit down, we've got some news" from her father
"Wha-what's happening dad?" Laura questions
"Just sit down Laura please." Laura's grandmother begged her.
She sat down,the man in the blue suit opened his mouth, he had a deep but yet calming voice and he said..............

Hey guys! Just saying sorry that this chapter is so short but I have an idea for the next chapter and if I wrote any more it would kill the suspense!! The next one will hopefully give more detail to the story, this part was only to introduce the story and explain the surroundings and define the character a bit.
