Chapter 16: I'm not the same as Sam (Dean)

I walk away from the reception to get some air, to think. I'm nothing like Sam, so why does she continue to stay with me. I've never been good at settling, it's just sitting I've never known. I hear approaching footsteps and glance to see who it is. It's Skylar, but she crying. I immediately go to her side.

"What's wrong Sky?" I whisper.

"Sammy told me something. Something about you, that you've been keeping from me." She stumbles back a little bit.

"What did he say?" I grit my teeth.

"Dean, you went to hell!" She exclaims.

"He did tell you." I growl.

"Dean," She catches my arm as I start inside, "it's his wedding night. It can wait till tomorrow, just let's forget this and enjoy the party." She begs. I loop my arm through hers as we walk in. Sam looks at her guiltly as we walk away from them. After the party, Skylar is tipsy and I am half-drunk. After we get back to our motel room, I slouch onto my bed and cover my eyes.

"Dean, I know you're mad at Sammy." Skylar whispers, frightened.

"It's nothing." I retort.

"Dean, what happened down there?" She asks. I sit straight up, tears welling in my eyes as I remember the pain and torture.

"I...I" I try to start.

"It's okay. You don't have to tell me." She crawls on the bed next to me and uses one my arms as a pillow before drifting off. I pull up the blankets around us and put my other arm around Skylar's waist before going to sleep myself.

"Skylar?" I ask as I feel the coldness on either side of the bed. I find a note that reads.

'Sammy said he found a case and you guys are leaving today, but don't leave before two thirty. I have something to tell you. It's very important. Love, Skylar<3. P.S. I got you some pie. It's in the fridge.'

I get up and eat a piece of pie. I wait for Skylar after packing my bags. I lounge around and suddenly she appears. I jump and look at her frightened.

"Hi Dean." She murmurs.

"What happened?" I ask her.

"Nothing!" She lies.

"Tell me!" I plead.

"No." She looks down.

"Skylar." I state.

"Dean, I'm half angel." She tells me.
