Kelly Morris is a 4th generation dairy goat farmer. Her days begin at 6:30 AM and end at 8:30 PM. Being on an established farm, she has several farmhands to assist her with the general duties of a dairy farmer. As soon as her alarm clock goes off, she showers, dresses, eats breakfast, and heads out to replace to the water for the goats. Then she fetches Matt, her brother, to refill the grain in the feeders throughout the barn and fields. While Jess, her 2nd cousin mows the fields, she milks 37 pregnant goats, all of which are grouchy and anxious to return to their herd. Then she and her 14 year old daughter, Elaina, begin to work on training. Although they are a well known dairy farm throughout
the state of Iowa, they still need to spend at least some portion of the day on their loyal farm dogs. Bailey, their oldest, just had a litter of puppies. Today, they will acquire the basic skills needed to be a standard border collie that herds livestock. The most promising is the 3 month old male puppy, Tator, short for Tator-tot. He shows quick learning ability, and surprising strength when he is doing presented tasks. As for the rest of the puppies, they should also all be perfect fit for farm life.
