I found this song and decided it would make a perfect songfiction for this ship.

This oneshot takes place in an AU when Crane and Lilith were kids around the age of... Let's say like... 8 years old.

I don't want no time on the big screen.
I'm okay with me and my ripped jeans and you, and you.

Lilith and her family were very poor. Her parents had to go into the crime business since they didn't have the right education to get a normal job. Crane was very poor also. He lived on the streets, and occasionally would visit Lilith. The two were practically inseparable; they were the best of friends, possibly more.

Messy hair, that's what he likes on me.
I don't care as long as we're happy and free
To be just you and me, and free to be just you and me.

Lilith's hair was always messy, as much as she combs through it with her fingers. Crane's hair was a bit messy too, but neither of them minded. As long as they were together, they were happy.

They think it's a shame
That the world will never know our names,
But I think that's okay,
'Cause love gets ruined by money and power and fame,

Lilith's parents are always upset that they can't afford to give her an education, or a good life at all. But Lilith didn't care about all that. After all, love gets ruined by money and power and fame.

And we're just 2 poor kids from a really rich city.
My oh my, what a pity.
'Cause we've got a love story unlike the rest,
No fancy suit and no fancy dress.
Just us, just us, just love, just love
Just us, just us, just love, just love

They don't need anything else than they have because they have each other. They've got a love story unlike the rest, no fancy suit and no fancy dress.

He picks her up in a Benz,
But my lover comes by himself and a dozen roses,
He probably stole 'em.
He's got a smudge of mud on his eye
Here to makes me break into smile,
'Cause he drives them mad, oh, he drives them mad.

The one time Crane came to the alley where Lilith and her parents lived. With him he had a dozen roses, and gave them to Lilith. He probably stole them, but they truly were beautiful.

Crane had a smudge of mud below his eye. Lilith giggled, and wiped it off using her thumb. Crane grinned goofily back.

'Cause they think it's a shame
That the world will never know our names,
But I think that's okay,
'Cause love gets ruined by money and power and fame.

However much Lilith tells her parents it's okay, they won't forgive themselves that they can't give her an education. They say they won't be able to go far in life. But as long as Lilith and Crane are together, they're going to be fine.

And we're just 2 poor kids from a really rich city,
My oh my, what a pity.
'Cause we've got a love story unlike the rest,
No fancy suit and no fancy dress,
Just us, just us, just love, just love,
Just us, just us, just love, just love.

As long as Crane and Lilith are together, they would be happy. Even though their just two poor kids in a really rich city, they will always love each other because their love story is different from the rest.

Dollar signs all around us,
We sneak onto the city bus.
Too blinded by what we have to notice
Your mean old laughs.

Crane walked ahead of Lilith, holding her hand as they shove themselves into the crowd flowing onto the city bus. An older couple in front of them dropped their money into the jar, so they quickly followed close behind them, pretending they were the couples children.

Dollar signs all around us,
We sneak onto the city bus.
Too blinded by what we have
To notice your mean old laughs.

Crane never let go of Lilith's hand as they walked to the back of the bus. They passed by people who stared and shifted away from the isle to avoid touching the kids. However the two didn't even seem to notice their stares as they continued down the isle, and they sat down in a seat near the back.

And they think it's a shame
That the world will never know our names,
But I think that's okay,
'Cause love gets ruined by money and power and fame.

People on the bus glanced at us disgusted, like love shouldn't exist between young poor kids. But they didn't care, because love gets ruined my money and power and fame.

"And we're just 2 poor kids from a really rich city. My oh my, what a pity.
'Cause we've got a love story unlike the rest,
No fancy suit and no fancy dress.
Just us, just us, just love, just love,
Just us, just us, just love, just love, love, love."
