Y/n's (Your name) POV

"I can't believe Oskar was a no show." Star mumbled, as her head rested on my shoulder.

After being stood up by Oskar, Star needed emotional support. And, I, being the great friend I am, was there for her.

"Hey, don't let that guy get to you," I said, staring to comb through her long hair. "If he did that, then he doesn't deserve you."

"He probably forgot..." She said, throwing her body on my bed. I turned back to look at her. She was staring up at the ceiling. "Star, no one forgets about a date. To prom."

"He could've gotten the date wrong."

"Star, I know I'm here to help you, but I have to be honest. He stood you up. Don't get hung up on him."

"Ugh! How can I do that?! Y/n, how do you do that?!" She nearly yelled, sitting up. "What- what do you mean?"

"I mean, after knowing you for three years, you've never said anything about love! And when I did set you up with a guy, he called it off after and you wen't hurt at all! You seemed relived." She sighed. "I just don't know how you do it." She fell back on the blankets, closing her eyes.

"Star...uh... do you want to hear the truth?"

She sighed and nodded.

It bit my lip a little. "It's because I-" I paused.

"Y/n?" She asked, eyes opening again.

"I have been hung up on someone, I-"

She gasped a little and jumped up to face me. "You are?! Oh what's his name?"

I wasn't out to star either, I wasn't really out at all in fact.

"Star... it's not a boy..." I said, feeling my face get hotter as looked down at the sheets. "Oh... Y/n," She grabbed my hand. "Are... you coming out to me?"

I swallowed, trying to get the lump in my throat to go away. Didn't help. The only thing it did was make me shake. She held my hand tighter. "Y/n, y/n, hey. It's okay... I, I don't think of you differently."

I felt her put her hand under my head, making me look in her eyes. She looked soft. She just looked calm. "Who is she?" Star asked, smiling a little.

"You..." I mumbled. Her eyes turned into stars, and she pulled me in for a tight hug, landing me on her lap.

"Star..? W-why are you so happy?" I stuttered. She grabbed my cheeks so our noses were touching. "Y/n! I've liked you for awhile! I just, thought you didn't like girls..." She said with a side smile.

Speachless. That's what I was. She laughed and kissed me. Me, being me, kissed back.

And that's how I got a princess for a girlfriend.
