"Jeez, scowling doesn't fit you abeg stop that." Adanna replied laughing
"Okay girls, its okay, I am just worried, wait, tell me, how well do you know Beatrice? Ronke said.
"Oops,". Dupe gasped covering her mouth, obviously mistaken what Ronke meant. She apologised remorsefully, "I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to tell her, I just hope she doesn't gossip. I told her after she persuaded me and then since she isn't the gossip type, I just spilled it out, I'm so so sorry".
"Nawa, that's how people fail English in exams, simple question, how well do you know Beatrice, she didn't say, what did you tell her" Adanna said.
"Not to worry, I have forgotten, well, what I meant was beyond her jovial, friendly,quiet, smart face and attitude, what else do you about her?. Ronke asked.
"What else is there to know about her?" Adanna asked laughing.
"You take serious matters as joke." Dupe chided her.
"Okay, I'm sorry". Adanna apologised still laughing.
"Is there a reason you asked the question?." Dupe asked Ronke ignoring Adanna.
"Not really, I'm just curious, she came to meet me today and said she had always liked and admired me and wants to be friends with me and she feels bad that I'm sad, stuffs like that". Ronke said thought fully.
"Jeez, is that all, oh my gosh, you are something else entirely."Adanna said laughing.
" men..., you are so annoying." Dupe snapped.
"What's funny?". Ronke asked,"Can't I say what I wanna say anymore?".
"Say it please," Adanna said still laughing, " I won't laugh, I promise."
"Ronke, please let's go". Dupe said angrily, dragging her.
"But... I said I was sorry...., pls wait for me". Adanna said laughing and running to join them.

"What if Beatrice can truly help me?". Ronke asked her when she has gotten home and has done all her house chores.
"God,what's wrong with me, how can I be so crazy about a guy when I'm still in secondary school". Ronke asked herself.
"If I don't go now, I'm afraid I will go crazy, lemme just go and see what she can do." She decided.
After dressing in a black jeans trouser and a pink tank top with sneakers, she called her mum.
"Mummy, I'm coming ........"
"Darling, where are you off to." Her mum asked her from inside.
"I'm going over to Dupe's place, I just remembered we have a project to do together." Ronke replied.
"Okay, dear, just make sure you are back before eight". Her mum replied.
"Sure Mumci, love you". Ronke replied as she left.
