"Man this is stereotypical" I muttered to my friend Saf. We sat there at the lunch table doing our favorite thing, people watching.
"There is no plot there whatsoever" she wrinkled her face in disgust, as we watched ahead of us.

The group of kids, who outranked us socially, were two tables a head of us. We always liked to focus on who was mentioned most in gossip we pretended to not care about. Last week was Harry Styles, and the rumor that he got a girl pregnant, rumors were false. However, this week was Zayn.

Zayn, like most kids here, had the high ranking government official parents, but he was in line for the throne of our country. His girlfriend this month was a girl who was a cheerleader, named Heather. Which to Saf and I, we saw that coming a mile away. We watched them- mainly Heather baby talk him. As they tried sucking each others faces off.

"I tap out," Saf said tapping the table.

"Same" I chuckled, we sat there waiting for our other friends.

The other friends were Saf's blonde twin Chantelle, and Darby a girl who we all hated throughout the elementary years of school but we then bonded over mutual hatreds of people in sixth grade.

Suddenly Chantelle and Darby slammed everything down in front of us. "Saf we're going to a party," Sophia announced giddily.

"Who is this "we" you speak of," Saf asked using air quotes.

Chantelle was the social butter fly, her and Darby bonded over the fact that both personalities were social. Saf and I were both wall flowers, our differences were I never understood alcohol and what the big deal about getting high and drunk was all about. Saf could out drink a grown man.

"Uh you, Bree, Darby, and I" she retorted before even Saf could argue, "You owe me, remember?" Chantelle cocked her eyebrow menacingly at her twin.

"But-" Saf interjected.

"No buts, you have to go plain and simple or I will tell mom and dad whose bright ass idea it was to use lighter fluid on an open range fire" Chantelle smirked in victory as Saf scowled.

"And to think I thought you were the smart twin" I laughed. Nudging Saf playfully, as she rolled her eyes.

"It's at Niall's house," Darby smiled, Darby's had a thing for him since well, as long as she's been breathing. She pushed her glasses back into place, "So after school, we're getting clothes and going to get ready at my house, so everyone make sure parental units know."

We all nodded and agreed, Darby was our main house we went to, her parents were some sort of government figure we never bothered to ask, we just knew they were nice and fed us.

Pulling out my phone I asked my mom, and of course she wasn't home, she was off somewhere, but naturally, she gave me the green light.

After school, we all piled into Darby's Jeep since it was her day to drive everyone. You see I didn't have a car, my mother was away so much I never really got the time to ask.

The mall was my most despised place, Saf and I were the same almost. But with malls, Saf loved shopping, just like the other two. Darby made me buy a burgundy romper, that she claimed "compliments your tan!" It had pockets, thank god, showed a little too much cleavage, but I would adjust the straps anyway.
I mean, I considered myself flat chested, I got told once that my ass was nicer than my personality, and I took that as a nice compliment. The mall for once seemed to go by quicker than normal, which was shocking because it always felt like it took forever.

Around seven, the girls had to convince me for them to do my makeup. Which is like pulling teeth, the most I ever do is mascara and foundation. But I must say they did a good job, making sure it wasn't caked on. My blue eyes popped, they curled my rose brown colored hair (how its this color is beyond me). After hours of them doing everything they could to make me look "socially acceptable" finally we were all ready.
