This is how I remember it happening.

It's important that I tell you how I remember it, because when you hear the other side of the story, it just gets weird.

The girls were late, to begin with. My crew (who I haven't thought up a name for, yet) were suppose to meet me at the dance studio to practice. Miss Waverly had asked us to perform a piece we're doing at the upcoming Spring Showcase for some children at the St. Perry's Hospital. We'd just learned the choreography a couple weeks before, and -- trust me -- we really needed to practice it. We definitely were not ready to perform it in front of an audience, and we only had 2 weeks to go. And there I sat, waiting in the White Room for the crew (how about I call them the No-Show Crew?). We call it the White Room on account of that it's -- All. White. Like all. Well... not all. It has brown floors. I know, I'm prone to dramatic exaggerations. At least that's what Dad keeps accusing me of.

The crew was killer late.  At least, by the clock I could see that they were.It was twenty minutes after when they finally arrived, but oddly it didn't seem like they were really that late. I got to the studio about ten minutes of, and started warming up.  Next thing I know, they all arrived. I mean, that's not that odd, because it seemed like I had just started warming up. But then I noticed the clock and realized that I had been there a half an hour before they arrived.  How did a half hour go by and I didn't really even notice?

Of course, Kendall was quick to blame Macs, as they busted into the room.

"My brothers were fighting," Macs starts her list of "reasons for being late #573". "I had to get them to do their homework, then start the laundry and do the dishes..."

"Okay. Okay." I calmed her down.

Kendall rolled her eyes, like she's known to do. "If it was me, and I was the one late, it'd be the end of the world," she muttered.

"Come on, Kendall," Val jumped in. "You know how it is at Macs' house."

Val was right. Things were always hectic at Macs'. She's the oldest at home. She's got two older siblings-- a brother and a sister -- but Macs was always the one to help take care of the younger kids. Four of them: the twin boys, 11 and 11 (they call them the twins since they were born less than a year apart), a younger sister, 8, and another brother, 4. She's really like a second mom to them, especially the youngest, Duke. She's taken care of him since birth. We always joke with her that it was her who went through labor for her mom, she does so much for her. So, yeah. Busy. She's good at it. though.

While Val and I are trying to quell Kendall's blame game, Riley wanders off to the other side of the room. She's not big on confrontations, but it seems she had other reasons for stepping away.

"Syd?" she calls me. But, I ignore it, trying to convince Kendall that, no, Macs is not more important than the rest of the group. And, yes, I did get upset with her the time she was late for practice, because she had to wait for her hair to set. And, no, that was not as valid as an excuse as Macs having to take care of the Brady Bunch.

Yes, Kendall can be a handful.

"Syd?" Riley tried again, her quiet voice raising just a hair.

"Yeah"

"Did you mean to leave your camera rolling?"

She was kneeling next to my video camera that I set aside while I warmed up. The red light on the top of the camera was on, signifying that the camera was, indeed, rolling.

I guess I should explain the camera. I have a dance vlog on the internet. I mean, I just started one. For some reason I thought the world was ready to listen to the silly dialogue of a dance obsessed teenage girl. So, hello YouTube!

I really like dancing. And I love to record things and make movies. So, i decided to combine the two things I like and make a vlog. I usually do small tutorials, or talk about fashion, or dance celebs, or junk like that. Lately I've wanted to get more involved though. Sort of make little dance movies, or little docs. I wanted to make the videos a bit more personal, instead of just gabbing about other people's stuff. I wanted to make it my own. So, I've started bringing the camera around wherever I go. Especially to dance. Today, I was going to do an episode on how me and my crew practice.

Well, that was the plan.

I thought Riley was pranking me or something, but she said she didn't start the camera rolling. And when I hit the quick-check rewind,  I could see that it recorded the crew entering the studio, and even Riley crossing the room when she noticed the camera rolling. So, she wasn't lying.

But then, how did the camera start rolling? Please don't tell me my camera is messed up! My dad would kill me.

It wasn't until I went back and checked all the other stuff I had recorded that I found out something else was going on. Something weird. Actually, more like disturbing.

Like I said, I got to the studio at ten of, with all my dance gear and my camera.  I think I started warming up then.  I say I think because, it's all kind of foggy now.  At the time it didn't seem foggy, but now that I'm watching the video that was recorded, things are definitely very foggy.  And very sketch...
