Welcome to my Journal!

Hi, my name is Meredith. Welcome to my journal. So I have a very interesting story to tell you. But first, I'll tell you a little bit about me.

So im 22 and graduated with a bachelor's degree in art. I enjoy making art, but my one true passion is traveling, so I fidgured if I learn how to paint landscapes then mabey I could travel more for work.

So far I have been to all fifty states in the u.s. and every continent except Africa, yes even Antarctica.

I know what your thinking, how have you been to Antarctica, but not Africa?!

Well, heres why, both my parents are marine biologists, my father specalizes in Orcas and my mother specializes in sea lions.

So my parents arn't normally home, because they have to go on lots of rescue and research missions.

When I was younger my parents always took me with them but I havent gone in over 5 years because I've been busy with school, and work, and traveling.

Love life: I have had one boyfriend in my life and that was in my sophomore year of highschool. His name was Jake and he cheated on me with a senior.

Honestly I was never really disappointed about it, in fact it just made me realize how much I enjoyed being single. One word: freedom.

So after that I decided, dating just wasnt my thing, I have thought about adopting a child though.

I was thinking young, but potty trained. It would be nice to have someone else to travel with. Plus kids are cheaper than adults when it comes to most things.

But i'm just not quite ready for that yet.

Special interests: I always have hours and hours to listen to new music or watch movies or read books while im flying. So here are some of my favorite bands, movies, and books

Bands: Guns and Roses, AC/DC, and Pink Floyd (im more of an 80s type of gal.)

Movies: life of pi, cast away, and the swiss family robbinsons.

Book: hatchet, raft, and eat, pray, love.

What kind of person I am:

I believe im not only a dreamer, but an achiever.

I dont just sit around and wait for opportunities to open up, I work hard to do or get what I want.

For example when I was 13 my dream was to travel to japan and India so what did I do? I started saving up right away.

Every birthday, christmas, pay check, and allowence I saved that money and never spent it. Then on my 21rst birthday I had collected enough to travel to Japan, but India would have to wait.

I also think im very brave. When an opportunity to try something new comes up, I almost always say yes.

Skydiving, yes. Scuba diving, yes. Eating a spider, yes.

Im always up for a challenge.
