"This is the most gross potato I've ever eaten in my life! James complained.
That's James, the most picky,(in terms of food) but the most caring and sensitive our group of orphans. His brother Jay, is the opposite, he's not really picky, he eats what food is edible, but he is afraid of Claire, my "cousin", I don't even know even if that's true, because after I was born and my mother died, she took me in and took care of me and told me she was my cousin, I have doubts.....
"Stop complaining James! It's not like we eat fresh ones up here, we're broke all right!"Jay told James.
"B-ut, b-ut, it's gross! it tastes different from others, it's- just gross! James yelled at Jay.
"Stop fighting you two! Just eat your dinner and go to sleep!" Claire shouted to them.
"Yes ma'am!!!!!"the two answered in chorus.
"That's better, uhmmm... hey Drake, what are you doing in there?"
"Uh, I'm trying to find some kind of needle to fix Ken's T-shirt, it was torn when the other kids bullied him."I answered while still looking for it.
"Okay, but don't be up all night we have to get money for tomorrow's food."
"Okay."
It's morning, I wake up and notice that everyone is gone, but Claire was there.
"Hey, Claire, where are the guys?" I asked her, while I was rubbing my eyes.
"they all went to the old market to get some food" she answered
"They all went? why would they go without me?"I asked her.
"Maybe because you we're sleeping comfortably in there!" she scolded me.
"Okay! maybe I overslept...but I'm going after them, wan'na join me? I asked her while laughing.
"Okay, I'll go with you, just a sec, I'll just finish this dishes."
We go out in the street , there we meet our old friends, Anne and Dave, old as in they we're older than us, maybe they we're 19 or 18, but with faces of teens. It was pretty awkward, because of what Dave did to Claire, he tried to harass her, when i looked at Claire's face, it was all red, I don't what's going on......By any weird reason I started to talk.
"Hey Anne! What's new?"I asked her.
She didn't answer.Why?????..............
