*1 Year Later: Present* (Age 16)
A yawn escaped my chapped lips as I placed my science text book in my locker. A light shiver ran through my body as my tan arm brushed up against the cool metal causing goosebumps to form. Sighing, I pulled my arms back and tugged on the bottom of my gray, cotton hoodie and pulled the sleeves down past my hands.
I reached in my locker for my clear, purple binder that had a picture of a burning rose on the front. Aaron had drawn it for me a couple of weeks ago because he got bored while he was in social studies. He's not too fond of learning about dead people, in fact, he could care less, even if they did declare independence.
I shoved my binder in my shoulder bag, ignoring the sound of all my papers crumpling. I began to feel vibration in my butt indicating that it was either shutting down, someone was calling, or I had a text. Sighing, I placed my bag on the ground and leaned it against the locker before reaching in my back pocket for my phone and opening the text I had just gotten.
'Hey Brooklyn Avenue or is it Brooke Avenue? Anywhooz! How you feelin'? If your tired I could always come get you & you can fall asleep in my arms while I watch you sleep like the stalker I am. Btw, your dad said be safe. -Cough Cough- I'll let you figure out what he means. Oh, Enrique Iglesias is not hot. Love ya! -C'
A small smile made it's way onto my face and I found myself shaking me head at him. That boy was such a goof along with a pervert. I swear, every sentence you say has two meanings to him, a perverted meaning and a normal meaning.
Reaching down, I picked up m bag and placed it on my shoulder before heading off to the courtyard with my phone in my hand.
'Tsk Tsk Tsk. Your such a pervert. Im pretty sure my dad means...be safe, and dont get jumped! Not what yoooour thinking -.- Im super tired and yes, I would love for you to come get me, but I dont want you to watch me sleep o.O Stalker.. I would hope you think Enrique is ugly, unless you're going gay on me. Are yoou? O.O -B'
I shoved my phone in the pocket of my hoodie before pushing the beige, metal doors open. As soon as I opened the door I had to squint me eyes.
It was a nice, bright day outside. The sun was practically glowing high in the sky as if it had a good nights sleep. The palm trees were rustling against each other and they swayed back and forth every once in a while when their would be a slight breeze. The birds were flying around in the sk flapping their wings excitedly as they did stunts in the sky. They kind of reminded my of sky divers, they were just birds instead.
"Brooke." I heard someone say next to me. Right away I could tell that it was Aaron. His voice was a dead giveaway along with the chocolate Axe he wore everyday. I turned and looked in his eyes that reminded me of Mountain Berry Blast powerade.
He continued now that he had my attention. "It is eighty seven degrees outside and you are wearing a hoodie. What in the world were you thinking?" He questioned as he placed his arm over my shoulder and ushered me to a bench under a shady palm tree.
"I dont know. Im tired today," I stated while resting my head on his broad, musclar shoulder. It honeslty felt like I were laying my head on a rock that was wearing clothes. I allowed myself to close my eyes and then I felt Aaron place his arm around me and pull me closer to him.
"Why are you so tired? This is like the eighth time in two weeks that you've come to school like this," he stated.
I bit my lip before speaking. "My dad and I were up all night watching the Harry Potter movies," I lied which made me feel nothing but guilt. I hated lying to Aaron. He was one hundred percent honest with me while I was only ninety-nine percent honest with him.
