Wifey for the Moment

Chapter 4:

*Drew's POV*

So it's Saturday and I'm still sitting in the house. I texted China and she was acting like she didn't want to talk.  I went ahead and took a shower and got ready to go to work. I do this internship at this recording studio..it's cool and they pay me a good amount of cash weekly. While I'm getting ready to head out the house I say bye to my Grandma and my phone starts vibrating.. it's Tiara calling me. Even though I'm in a hurry I stop to answer...

" Hey Beautiful ", I say in a sexy way.

"Baby what are you about to do? "

"I 'm on the way to the studio.. what's good "

" I want you to go and pick me up some Doritos and a Arizona drink before you go ",  she starts acting like she about to die over the phone

"Baby but your house is the opposite way of the studio "

"That doesn't matter! all that matters is I want you to bring me some snacks... you're supposed to get me whatever I want ...it's your job as my boyfriend "

It gets on my nerves when she gets all dramatic and selfish, but I love her

"okay baby I 'll see what I can do "

I hang up and get in the car to drive to a gas station near her place and got the snacks.

When I got to her place I handed it to her,  gave her a kiss on the cheek and got in the car so I could at least try to make it to work.

I got to the studio and there was my boss waiting for me at the front door

"Drew you're eleven minutes late. That's coming out of your paycheck this week.", My boss is serious about being on time.

"I'm sorry Leo, it's not gonna happen again, I promise.

Leo is an upcoming music producer in Atlanta. He's working on a beat for a big artist right now.

I walk down the hallway to the intern office to put my things away. There are two other interns that work with me,  Jada and Zack. Jada is a college sophomore. She's a real tall dark skin girl with long, curly hair

Zack goes to school with me. he's a nerd but he's my boy.

They weren't in the office so I assumed they were already running errands for Leo.

I just decided to sit down for a couple seconds to clear my head. by the time I got good and comfortable, both of them came walking in.

"Well well , look who finally decided to show up for work ", Jada said jokingly

"Don't worry about me,  i had business to handle before i came "

Jada and Zack both looked at each other like they knew i was lying

"You mean girlfriend business ", Zack said in a sarcastic tone

"I told you man you need to leave her alone . All she wants is a guy with enough money to take care of her so she can just lay around all day . "

Zack wasn't one of those nerds you see on tv all the time, he had a lot of street smarts and a little thug in him too.

"Hey that's my girl, i know she can come off as spoiled...

"Spoiled is an understatement buddy." Jada cut me off and stated.

"Well she is a good person,  you just have to get to know her."

Zack and Jada know all about  my relationship with Tiara because i feel like i can trust both of them to give good advice

"Now to change the subject... What does Leo have on the agenda today?" I say

"Well some big artist is coming to lay down a track or two today,  so Leo wants us to have the studio looking real nice ."

"What artist is coming?", i said with an exciting look on my face.

"Leo won't tell us because he doesn't want to get us all worked up. He gave just gave us a couple hundred dollars so we can fix up the studio a little. "

"The artist is gonna be here around 4:15 so we better get going" I'll go to Hobby Lobby or something to find some nice stuff. Zack, you and Drew need to buy snacks and drinks ." , Jada said

I finally got up out of my seat

"Well we better get going . We riding in your car or mine Zack?

"We can ride in mine , just gotta stop for gas . "

"Okay well since the artist is coming around 4:15, we should come back around 3:00 just to be on the safe side"

We all finally left to go and get the stuff we needed.
