A Long Long time ago in the land of Decorous a young girl lived among the ashes of the old kingdom Lebanda. She lived alone since the age of seven with no trace of memory from her past life. In the ruins of the old crumbling castle she took refuge from the harsh elements each night. She would spend her days wandering the forest looking for food. She sought comfort with the animals that lived there in particularly the beautiful Arabian horses, who took her in as their own.

She enjoyed her quite simple life but yearned for adventure and love. She saw how each wild horse had a partner someone to share their life with but she had none. She knew that she was a human and remembered how to read and write but was quite unpracticed at it. Her day-to-day life was easy and joyful until the great wind brought an unwelcome person to the old kingdom.

When she would wake up each morning she would hide her blankets and any sign that she was there before proceeding through the woods to find some berries or fruit of some kind for her breakfast. Next she would wander to the cool stream for some refreshing water and to meet up with her horse friends.

Now, there was on horse that she named Raven. Raven was the horse that found her all those years ago, the horse that took her in and begged the lead stallion Cineran to accept her. Raven was not only a mother figure to the girl but also to the other young colts and fillies. Raven raised the girl and treated her just as if she was her own.

Years ago, Raven had an actual foal between her and her mate, Cineran. The young foal had an adventures heart and would often wander to far off from the heard. One day he wandered to far and was attacked by a crazed mountain lion that resembled a man. Sadly the foal died and never saw past its first year of life. Raven's  heart was broken when she found her precious baby dead on a hill. Cineran was enraged when he caught wind of what happened. He even tried to go after the Mountain Lion but just as it came it disappeared as though it never existed in the first place.

A couple of years passed by before the old mare found the girl. She reminded Raven so much of her lost foal that she felt a motherly need to take care of the child. As the child grew and changed from child to teenager it became quite clear that she needed a different environment than the horses. She needed more shelter and developed slower than the other horses. So, raven sought out a place where the child would be safe each night and during the harsh elements before returning each day with the herd.

Raven taught the young girl how to hide signs of her existence, and what safe berries to eat looked like compared to poisonous just in case they got separated. She showed the girl where the fresh streams and rivers of water were and how to not get caught in the current. Cineran did not think it wise of the mare to take in the young girl. Eventually he came around with the idea and began to treat the girl kindly.
