Bird

I walk into my apartment, slamming the door behind me. I hear a gasp and ally peaks her head over the corner.

"Hey buuuuudd!" Ally yells

"Not in the mood." I snap back

"Okay...wait what happened where's cammie?"

"I don't know ally. If there's a knock at the door don't answer it just tell me, okay?" I tell her

"Why Shannon?" She gets up and starts following me to my room. I don't answer, she ripped my phone out of my hand and locked herself in the bathroom. "Shannon!" She screams, she walks out of the bathroom her face pale. "You will not go back to drugs. No. We will talk this out and...I don't know get you a dog or something. Just don't." I cry into ally's shoulder, she hesitates to hug me back but does and it's a long hug but very well needed.

We walk back into my room and I tell ally about Caitlyn and what cammie said and what I said and how she flinched. Ally listened which I was thankful for because sometimes it seems she's all jokes. After hours of talking we both went to sleep. Cammie didn't come home that night.

"Good morning!" Ally screamed in my ear.

"Jesus!" I jumped "I'm going to go dead because of you."

"I got you a little treat." She smiles probably "Starbucks! Ahhhhhhh yay ally's the best."

I chuckle softly "thanks ally." My smile slowly fades into a frown and I look up at ally. "She didn't come home."

Ally sighed "well she did because the car's back, but she didn't come inside."

I nod and look down at my coffee

"Hey no, screw his! Let's go dog shopping." Ally yells with a little anger in her voice.

I look up at her "seriously." I smile

"Dude yeah get in the car." She demanded

We both ran to the car like little kids on Christmas, ally put the car in reverse and pulled out of the driveway like a maniac.

"Ally!!" I yelled

She smiled over at me."that was so cool!" She said excited

"Oh my goodness Shan look at this wiw guy. He's so precious!!" Ally says balling her eyes out, she always cries at dogs.

"This one." I say picking up the wrinkled dog

"Oh my goodness!!" Ally says falling to the floor in tears, and I can't stop laughing.

Ally hold her on the way home and the dog is licking her tears which makes her cry even more. Once we bring the dog into the house we set down all the stuff we got the puppy and brainstorm names on the floor with the,now sleeping, puppy.

"Well what's something you love?" Ally asks

"Cammie..." I answer

"Okay that was not what I was looking for, see now I love birds, therefore I feel her name should be bird."

"Okay fine." I sigh

"Seriously?!"

"Yeah why not our dog...Bird" I say as if I was displaying the name.

"Aww yeah boy!! Imma go play with bird right now." She takes the dog into her room.

I get up off the floor and look out the window, it started to rain, and while each drop of rain raced down the window. I thought of cammie. I wondered if she was okay, or if we where even still together. I hope she was okay. I hope she's somewhere safe. I hope she's being smart. I hope that for her. But just as I was thinking of her ally screamed.

"She's pooping! Code brown code brown!!" I see her run with the dog out infront of her into the bathroom "ooohhhh no." And then I'm not thinking of cammie, I'm thinking of my best friend gagging and crying while cleaning up dog poop.
