You get back to the compound within 5 minutes.
He gets out right when the car parks, and you follow him.
"Hey Bucky?"
"Yeah." He replies, his voice deep.
"Um, did that kiss mean anything to you?" You ask tentatively.
He sighs and looks at you. His eyelashes cast his eyes in shadows and cause his eyes to look even more dark and mysterious.
"Well if I didn't like you, then why would I kiss you?"
"Well-"
He interrupts you by turning away and walking inside.
You sigh and follow him inside and quietly walk to your room.
You change out of your uniform for a tanktop and sweatpants.
He comes in about 2 hours later, while you are on your bed reading.
"Hey." He says as he leans against your doorframe.
"Hey." You say not looking up from your book.
He closes your door and crosses your room to sit on the foot of your bed.
You sit up and braid your long hair to the side.
He sighs and puts his head in his hands.
You silently crawl over to him and lean your head on his shoulder.
"What's wrong?" You ask.
"Nothing, I'm just tired." He replies gruffly.
You notice that he has a stubble of a beard on his chin and you wrap your hands around him.
He tenses slightly, and then relaxes in your hug.
Part 7: Bucky's perspective
You recognized him. You know him. You shake your head as you walk to Alice's room.
She's the only person that you want to be around.
You run your hands through your hair as you lean in her doorway.
She is laying down on her bed, reading.
"Hey." You say, trying to sound casual.
"Hey." She says without looking up.
You close her door and go over to the foot of her bed and sit carefully.
She sits up and braids her hair.
You put your head in your hands in sigh.
You know you offended her when you walked away, you just didn't know what to say.
You feel her presence as she crawls over to you and puts her head on your shoulder.
"What's wrong?" She asks shyly.
"Nothing, I'm just tired." You say as you look up at her. Her bright eyes study your face, and all you can think about is kissing her again.
She wraps her arms around you, which is something no one has ever done to you.
Your muscles tense, but then relax against her.
Her small frame feels like it could crack under the smallest bit of pressure, but her metal arm feels sturdy against you.
You quickly turn her around and look at her small face. She has some freckles dusting the bridge of her nose.
You smile and quickly press your lips against hers.
