"Ugh!" I groaned as my alarm woke me up. I turned it off and sat up in my bed, rubbing my eyes. I sighed, stood up, and went to the bathroom to take a shower. When I got in the water felt really good on my head and I massaged my scalp, running my fingers through my hair. My eyes were closed and I was just thinking of a song I had just gotten for free on iTunes, Dear No One by Tori Kelly. I guess I like that song because I've been looking for someone to love me. Anyone. Even a family. I live by myself in a cruddy apartment that I can barely afford. My parents kicked me out 3 years ago because that's the first year it was legal. I was an accident according to them.

Water dripped down my face, and I couldn't tell if it was from the shower, a tear, or both. My towel hung on the rack by the sink and I wrapped it around me, grabbing another one to put in my hair.

Unexpectedly there was a knock at my door. I ran to my room and slipped on some high wasted shorts and a hoodie. Slowly, I walked to the door and opened it. A black man asked me to step out of my apartment.

"Why?" I asked. He showed me his policeman badge.

"A man with a knife has been wandering around the apartments and I am required to check every room in the building."

"Well you can come in but I will not exit."

"That's fine but please sit on the couch as I inspect the rooms."

"Okay..." I had to agree with something, he's a cop.

I sat down on my couch and plugged in my headphones, listening to Dear No One. Also I played dots while I waited for him to be done inspecting my apartment. I looked over at my TV and I saw a shadow behind it of a person standing there. I looked around and saw a person behind me in a dark hoodie with sun glasses and a bunch of duct tape! Before I could scream he shoved a pill in my mouth and then taped my mouth. He pulled my head back, making the pill go down my throat. Then I got dizzy and closed my eyes. I couldn't speak or open my eyes. All I could do was hear and feel. I felt him pick me up and run, wind blowing on my face. I was cold but I couldn't move. Was this the guy with the knife? Where was he taking me? Suddenly I heard a door open and he layed me on a seat. It felt like a truck. I could tell it was a truck because he had to lift me up into it and then when he started the motor it was really loud. If only I knew where we were heading. A tear squeezed through my eye lids and it tickled my cheek but I couldn't wipe it. It streamed down my cheek into my ear, and it irritated me. I felt someone lift me up and take the duct tape slowly off of my mouth. I started to open my eyes and I almost screamed but the person sitting by me covered my mouth.

"No reason to scream babe, nobody but us can hear you."

"W-Who are you guys?" The car stopped and they all looked at each other like they were reading each other's minds. I repeated my questions and about 15 seconds later the person beside me sighed and took off his sunglasses and hood.

I was confused. I looked into his eyes and got a warm feeling in me, like I was safe with him.

"I'm Justin."

"Oh my god! Justin Bieber? Where are you bringing me?"

"That is what you will have to wait and see."

I shivered. That's when I hesitated.

"A-Are you guys going to-"

"We aren't going to kill you."

"Why not?"

"Do you want us to?"

"Well..."

"Why would you want to end your life?"

I undid my messy bun and redid it, ignoring the question.

"You're hair-"

"Is messy? I know."

"I was going to say beautiful."

I was shocked by his words. The only compliment I had gotten ever was "Nice outfit," but it was sarcasm.

My throat burned and I forced a sentence out of my mouth.

"I've never gotten a compliment before.

His eyes widened.

"How could such a beautiful girl like you never get a compliment?"

"You're the first one to think that." I tried to hold back tears but it was hard and soon my eyes got blurry with water. I remembered the words from a show I once watched, "don't ever cry in front of your enemies, it gives them power." Were these people my enemies? I didn't know.

"Are you okay?" I said no and then burst into tears. I felt Justin wrap his arm around me, letting me rest my head on it. Why did I feel so comfortable around him? I lifted my head and looked into his perfect brown eyes. He wiped the tears off of my cheek with his thumbs and we stared into each other's eyes.

"Where have I seen you before?" He asked.

I looked down and replied, "I don't know." and I looked back into his eyes.

The truck had started moving again and I looked out the window. A little girl was holding her mom's hand and was eating a chocolate ice cream. I looked away, not wanting to cry again. I stared at my lap and rubbed my eyes. When I was done I accidentally set my hand on Justin's. He turned his hand upside-down and put his fingers in between mine. I hesitated but then I did the same.

"Don't worry okay? We took you here to protect you.

I nodded my head. I believed him. I rested my head on his shoulder and fell asleep. I woke up when the truck jerked to a stop. I looked out the windows and we were in a forest.

"Why are we here?" I looked out Justin's window and there was a cabin with a bunch of people sitting in front of a camp fire.

They told me to get out and I did. I just stood there, not knowing where to go or what to do. Justin came over to me and grabbed my arm, pulling me toward the cabin. Everybody stared at me.

---Justin's POV---

I felt bad for this girl because she seems like she has a really hard life, and to be taken away from her apartment is scary, but I hope she knows we did this to protect her and not think we're some psycho killers. I brought her to my bedroom in the cabin. She sat on the bed. I sat next to her.

We sat in silence until I asked, "do you trust me?"

She thought about it and then she replied, "Surprisingly yes."

"Good because we brought you here to protect you."

"From?"

"There's a group of killers in that building. One of them I saw go into your room, so I snook in when the cop did."

"Why didn't you let the cop handle it?"

"I saw the guy out a bomb in your kitchen. That's why I got you out of there as soon as I could."

I tried keeping her calm. I expected at least a bit of shocked look on her face but all I saw was her beautiful smile.

"Thanks," she said and I rubbed her arm.

"That's what I do. I'm going to go take a shower, you can listen to music if you'd like," I turned on the music. It played one of my songs and I smiled. I like that they still play music from my first album.

"Is this One Time?" she asked.

"Yes." She smiled.

It went quiet.
