Joshua's Journey

There once was a boy named Joshua. He was twelve years old. His life was changing fast he just moved to Texas with his mom Donna. Joshua was in his room when all of the sudden he heard his mother crying. When he went down the stairs he asked her what was wrong. She said that her mother died of old age. When Joshua heard this news he was very upset. The reason Joshua was so upset was because that was his favorite grandmother. After that news he went to bed for the night. The next morning Joshua went downstairs and his mother said that they would be taking a plane to his grandmother’s funeral. Joshua had mixed emotions, he was upset that his grandmother died, scared to go on a plane, and exited to go on a plane for the first time. A few days later it was time for the trip, the night before Joshua packed many different things including first aid kits, water and many different emergency items then he went to bed. The next morning Joshua got up bright and early to catch his early morning flight to Hawaii to go to his grandmother’s funeral. Twenty minutes later it was time to leave to go to the airport. When they made it to the airport it was time for their flight and they just barely made it in time. After they made it on the flight they both went to sleep and woke up two hours later. A few minutes after they woke up there was an announcement that the plane would be forced to make a crash landing. The entire plane started to scream as the plane headed straight for an uncharted island. Joshua passed out right then and there. After being asleep for about half an hour he woke up and was very dizzy. He looked around to notice the his mom had died and that there was only one other person that was still alive, a  man that looked like he was about twenty-five years old and looked like he was very upset about something. Joshua was about to ask the man what he was upset about then he realized that the plane just crashed and there is a lot to be upset about, but he asked him anyways. When the man responded he said how his wife and son died right there in that crash. Joshua said that he was sorry then he explained how he was going to his grandmother’s funeral and how his mother also died in the crash. The man suggested that they should get out of the rubble and figure out where they were, Joshua agreed with the man then asked him what his name was. The man responded that his name was Tyler. So after they escaped from the rubble they realized that they were on an uncharted island between California and Hawaii, neither of them did well in geography so they had no clue where they were. After a few days Joshua realized that he had brought all of those emergency items, and he realized just in time because Tyler had just fallen off of a rock and cut his arm really bad. So after Joshua gave Tyler some care and told him to sleep for a while, he was only able to sleep for about an hour. Later on after they were both awake and energized they went to the coast to see if they could see civilization anywhere nearby. They noticed that there were no other islands as far as the eye can see. Tyler noticed that they were both very dirty so he suggested that they should go through the luggage and find some more clothes, a lot of them were ripped or filthy but then they found a suitcase that was perfect. However when he pulled the suitcase out of the broken plane Joshua was nervous about wearing other people’s clothes but then Tyler explained to him that if he didn’t put the clothes on he would be filthy and his clothes would be rags. Then he said how they would wash them in the ocean first, that made Joshua feel a lot better about it but he still didn’t like it. About fifteen minutes later Joshua and Tyler both started to complain of hunger so they split up to look for food Joshua managed to make a fishing pole out of a stick, some string that was in the pocket of the pants he found, and a twisted piece of medal in the sand that he managed to twist into a hook. There was just one problem he needed bait.About five minutes later Joshua finaly found a worm and he was very grateful and thought it was a miracle.
