Road Trip

You packed everything you would need for the winter with your close friends the Torrances. You had been best friends with Wendy ever since childhood. You had caught the eye of her husband Jack however.

Jack wasn't certain about what he felt towards you. He loved you like a friend but something in him wanted the two of you to be more than friends.

Soon enough they pulled up in your driveway. "Hey (Y/N)!" Wendy greeted you cheerfully. Jack grinned at you "Hey (Y/N)." He said. Danny only waved at you, a look of... Pity on his face. You found it strange but ignored it.

Jack helped you put your bags in with everyone elses. "There ya go." Jack said with a smile. "Thanks Jack." You said "No problem." He replied with a grin. You sat in the back seat with Danny during the trip.

Soon enough you guys were talking about the motel you were going to be staying at. Danny started talking about it too... What he said caught all of you off guard "I know all about the cannibalism. I saw it on TV."

"It's okay, he saw it on TV." Jack said sarcastically. Once you guys arrived you noticed something seemed... Off about the place. You decided to talk to Wendy to ease your nerves.

"It's been a while (Y/N). How have you been?" Wendy asked "I've been doing pretty good. I told my landlord that I would be gone for the winter so (friend's name) is taking care of my place for me." You said. Wendy smiled "That's good." She said.

Little did either of you know Jack was watching you. He grinned to himself "I can finally have her all to myself." He thought. You went to your room where you heard Danny talking to himself in a rather creepy voice.

"Will she be okay Tony?" Danny asked. "If she's smart she'll be fine." Danny replied to himself in a creepy voice that wasn't his. You knocked on the door "Hey Danny. Who were you talking to?" You asked. "Tony. He said you'll be okay if you're smart." He replied.

"Probably an imaginary friend and a pretend scenario." You thought. "I'll be okay Danny." You promised. He smiled and hugged you "Good. I don't want to lose you Aunt (Y/N)." He said. You smiled and hugged him back. Danny called you that considering you were practically family to the Torrances.

Time skip of a couple weeks

You noticed Jack wasn't his usual self. He seemed to be under a lot of strain which was understandable. However there wasn't anyone staying save for Wendy, Danny, and you. Jack would snap a lot which was strange for him.

He would never snap to you though. If anything he seemed to be calmed when around you. You were glad you could calm him before he did anything he would regret. Jack was never abusive physically or verbally, so his recent outbursts were uncharacteristic of him.

He said it was due to the amount of stress that went with trying to keep his employers happy. He did his work in peace while you would hang out with Wendy during the day. You helped her with the usual chores along with taking some time out of your day to play with Danny.

He would frequently talk about his imaginary friend 'Tony' however his conversations with this 'Tony' character grew rather dark...
