Hahahaha! Don't get me wrong. I adore Laxus but the one thing that irritates me about him is the way he puts his coat over his shoulder. Ugh! It really bothers me!
The chapter is a bit long I know but I wanted to give a proper taste of what the reader character is like and how her relationship will be like with other members of the guild. I'm not a fan of characters that are unpolished no matter how short the story. I wanted this first encounter to be quite an instantaneous love at first sight. Those kinds of scenes are always so romantic to me and I get a kind of magical feeling from them which is quite appropriate for a love story about mages, I think. I don't really like the kind of love story where the characters take forever to find out they love each other.
The reader's swordfighting is obviously inspired by Leonardo from TMNT as well as by Zuko's fighting style as the Blue Spirit in Avatar. As for her animal magic, I think I'll have a lot of fun with it since I can create my own magical animal species.
Annnyways, I hope you liked this chapter. I'm getting pretty into this writing gig so I'll try to publish as much as possible while I'm feeling motivated.
