"Holly, hurry up! We're going to be late!" Joe shouted.

"Hang on, I'm coming now, five minutes." She replied. Holly was a tall, palish girl with an undeterminate shade of red hair falling just past her shoulder line. She was also blessed with long, thin, tall legs along with arms to match. She was clad in black tights, black shorts, a black leather jacket and an old, white/grey Arctic Monkeys t-shirt from 2011.

They were going to a party, the first of the month. They usually go to a party at least once a week but usually it's two or three, depending on what day their week actually started, if it were a Monday, they'd go to two a week, one on Friday night and one on Saturday night, but their weeks can start on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday. Whatever feels fitting at the time. They'd done this ever since their first day of year nine, but they had gradually progressed to more than one party by early year ten. But that was a long time ago, they've nearly finished school now, only a year to go. Thank goodness.

"Who are we going to get on the way there? Is it Primrose? We're going to have to be quick, we're going to be so late." Joe questioned. They were really going to be late. "Yes, we're going to get Primrose. Will you stop moaning? The party started an hour ago, we can't be late. We already are. We will be fashionably late, like always." Holly snapped back at him. Jesus.

"Come on, we best get going. All the drinks are going to disappear. Fast." Primrose announced, receiving quick jolts from Holly & Joe, who had almost nodded off whilst waiting for their friend to get ready. They were already an hour and a half late to the party. Joe was beginning to wonder whether they should bother turning up or not. "That's what I've been trying to say for the past hour and a half, now let's go. I couldn't stand to wait any longer." Joe replied. "Okay, let's go. Who's going to be there anyway?" Holly pondered. "Er, us, David, literally everyone else and a few others." Primrose answered. "Ugh."

"I'm going on the pull, see you in twenty minutes." Holly remarked somewhat sarcastically, obviously intoxicated. "Don't hurt yourself too much, would you like me to walk you over?" Primrose said, half-replying, half-giggling. "No thanks. I think I can make it to the couch on my own perfectly fine, actually." Holly replied, almost stumbling mid-sentence. She made her way over to the puce red sofa and sat herself down with her drink, waiting for all of the boys to form an orderly queue just to talk to her.

Holly had been in the exact same spot on the dark red sofa for ten minutes, just about to give up hope when she seen a tall, dark, handsome figure stumble through the door just in the corner of her eyeline. "Al, come on. Stop it now, you've had enough. Let's go and get you sat down before you do any more damage." A voice said, the red-haired girl couldn't but be intrigued and excited at the same time. She wanted to know what the tall, dark, handsome figure looked like up close, along with  finding out what 'damage' he has already done, she was determined to make this happen, too. There was only one piece of furniture in the room and that was the sofa that she was sitting on.

"Get off me, Matt! I mean it! I'll get you." The voice said to his friend who had just dumped him on the dark, fading, cracking leather material that covered the couch, placing him just next to Holly. "You need to relax mate, you can't go doing that every time you see someone doing something you don't like. It's unhealthy." The voice, now called Matt, said sympathetically. The figure Holly had seen in the doorway was now taking up almost the entire sofa, leaving her just enough room to squeeze in rather uncomfortable without falling over the edge.

"Er, can you move out the way a bit please?" Holly asked. "Errrrrr, no. Go away. I'm trying to sleep." The figure replied. "Excuse me? You're trying to sleep on a couch? There's beds upstairs, you did know that, didn't you?" Holly said, her face red with a mixture of nervousness and anger. "Yes, I am trying to sleep on the couch. I am aware that there are beds upstairs but no, I do not wish to use them, and now you've mentioned, I'll stay here just to annoy you. What's your name anyway, redhead?" The figure snarled. "My name is Holly." "Alex. Nice to meet you, Holly." "Nice to meet you, Alex."

Holly had been staring at Alex for about fifteen minutes now, did he know how rude that was? Being hooded inside? Wearing sunglasses inside? Both of them at the same time must be something close to illegal. "What are you staring at me like that for? Stop it, it's creepy." Alex questioned, quickly snapping Holly out of her wicked stares. "Take your hood down," she said. "it's rude. Take off your glasses as well, I want to see your face and it's rude to wear sunglasses inside if you weren't aware." She flared. This resulted in a rather dazy, stunned Alex slowly removing his hood and sunglasses a few minutes later. She wouldn't of thought in a million years he would do that, even though she hadn't known him for barely half an hour.
