Attack of the rebels

Everything is normal

"KC!!! KC!!! Hey! Get up dork!"
I turned over to see my older brother Killian violently shaking me awake.
" 5 more minutes smelly!" I said as I rolled back over.
" No! You need to get up now! You need to work!" He said as he pulled my blankets off of me.
"KILLIAN!!!" I screamed
"Get up then!" He said as he left my room.
I slowly got up. "I swear killian! Im will get you someday!" I murmured to myself as I put on my leather hoodie and jeans.
Killian is my 16 year old brother. He thinks he's like the boss of me or something.
I slowly walked down out of my room. Which isn't really a room. It's kind of an attic because my family doesn't have a lot of money, but it's all mine so whatever.
"Took you long enough!" Killian said handing me a piece of bread.
" I'm so over bread Killian!!! We have a piece of ham left over from a few days ago! Can I have that?" I whined.
"Be grateful for what you have Kambria Caresworth! My mom said as she took a bite out of her piece.
Kambria Caresworth! Is my full name. But I go by KC.
"Kambria, after breakfast go and harvest some wheat so u can make more bread! Dad said as he read the paper.
"Ugh! Fine I'll go now!" I moaned
"What about your breakfast?" Dad asked.
"Like I said! I'm so over bread!!" I said grabbing my backpack"
I quickly ran out of the house.
We live in a tiny poor village. The best thing I have is a tiny iPod, a pair of ear buds. And my leather hoodie. And those mean everything to me.
I quickly ran over to the Darling family's apple tree. And grabbed the biggest apple I could find. I started to walk away when the Darlings door swung open.
"KC what are you doing?" a voice ask
"Oh um I'm sorry Mama Darling! I just... Um... Well you see..." I rambled
"Hey I'm not my mom" a voice giggled
I knew right away who it was. I wiped around and ran to the door.
" ALEX!!!! YOUR BACK!!" I said running into her arms.
Alex is my bestfriend! She went away to hunting school during the fall. I already went to the class a year before.
" It must be spring!!!! I screamed hugging her super tight.
She giggled " yeah! I can home yesterday."
"Hey come with me to harvest some crops. Like the old times!" I said
" alright let me put on my green hoodie!" She said running back into her house.
She has a green hoodie, she loves it almost as much as I love my leather one.
She quickly ran back outside and we ran to the harvest field.
We spent most of the day there, picking corn and tomatoes.
The sun started to set.
"Hey we need to get going!" I said to Alex.
"Why so fast? What you scared of the dark or something?" She teased.
"No!! I mean... No it's because of the Rebels! They have been attacking lately!" I said.
"Hey it's fine! There hasn't been a huge attack in a long time!" Alex said laying down.
" No Alex you don't understand! They have been coming out of the woods more lately! The are probably planning something! And we are right next to he woods!! We need to go!!" I said standing up and grabbing my backpack.
"Calm down KC! We will be.... Did you just hear that?" Alex said standing up.
" I heard a sound coming from the woods!!!!! Alex let's go!!!" I said as I started to freak out.
"No hold on! I'm going to check it out!" Alex said walking towards the woods.
" ALEXA DARLING!!! GET YOU BUTT BACK HERE!!!" I yelled after her.
"Calm down! I'll be right back!" Alex said as she walked into the woods.
"NO!!! Alex!! It's probably the Rebels!!" I said inching toward the woods.
"I'll be back!" Alex said as she left me sight.
I sat there in disbelief.
Then I heard a loud scream.
"AHHHH KC AHHHHH HELP MEEEEE AHHHH KCCCCC!!!" I heard coming from the woods.
" ALEX?!?!!" WHATS WRONG!!" I screamed back standing back up.
No reply.
"ALEX!" I screamed again.
No reply.
"ALEX!" I screamed one last time.
I grabbed my backpack and ran into the village.
"HELP!!! THEY GOT ALEX!!!! THE REBELS GOT ALEX!!!" I screamed as I ran through the village.
Killian came running out of the house with dad. And Mr and Mrs Darling both ran out of there houses. And a few other villagers.
Killian grabbed my shoulders to stop me from running around.
"What?" He asked calmly.
"THE REBELS HAVE ALEX!!" I yelled.
Everything became really dizzy all of the sudden. I couldn't believe this was happening! Everyone gathered around me and started asking me questions. But I couldn't make out anything they were saying. My vision became blurry. Then everything went black.
