The Missing And The Death

After I opened the doors I saw everything was starting to clear up. It looked like the rebels had left and the fires were burning out. Also it was day time now. I quickly walked out of the cellar and towards the center of town.
"I wonder who survived! I wonder is mom and dad and Killian are ok!" I said as I started to run down the walk way.
It seemed like I was the only person in town! But there were other cellars! So people were probably in some of them.
As I walked into the center of the village I saw something that changed my life forever.
"What the...... No! It can't be!" I said as my eyes filled with tears. The world seemed like it was spinning. I feel to my knees and put my face in my hands.
"Alex! Why! How could this happen!" I cried.
Alex's lifeless body hung from the statue in the middle of the village. That's the way the rebels let the village know they beat us.
"Why! If only we had left the field earlier! If only she didn't go into the woods!" I sobbed.
I heard a noise next to me but I didn't look up. I was too upset.
"KC... I know this is hard... But... Things will get better." A low voice said.
I slowly lifted my head and turned towards the voice.
It was Killian.
"Killian! You're ok!" I screamed as I leaned over to hug him.
"Yeah... But mom and dad aren't. I... I couldn't find them.." He said as he tried to choke back his tears. I could tell that he was about to cry but I pretend that I didn't.
My heart fell at those words though.
"The rebels have to pay!" I said as I stood up.
Killian looked at me for a moment and then to the floor.
"Killian we need to fight them! We need to show them it's not ok to just attack random innocent people!" I said wiping away tears.
"Are you mad KC? We can't do anything! They work for the other village across the mountain!" He said wiping tears away too.
"Then let's go talk to them!" I said walking towards the woods.
"KC get back here! We aren't ready for a fight!" He said as he stood up. "Go into the house! I'm im charge of you until we find Mom and Dad!
I turned around sharply glaring at Killian. "I'm going to fight them wether your with me or not, I will make the pay wether you like it or not! And I will win, wether you support me or not. So you can either join me, or get out of my way." I said clutching my knife firmly in my had. Killian stared at me for a second.
"Wow kid.... You must really mean business here huh?" He said looking up at the sky. "Alright kid, let's go get revenge."he said "but first I need a bow!" He said with a smirk.
