I made my way to the kitchen dreading the coming conversation. I put a pan on the hob and added a drop of oil, I began to make pancakes because I wanted to soften her up for this conversation. Moments later Ali came walking into the kitchen. "Are they pancakes I smell" I just smiled at her.
"Lisa, can we talk? About last night" My heart dropped but I guess it had to come from one of us.
"Yeah, of course, we can... Well I mean we were both really drunk and well it sort of just happened." I said so nervously, I must seem like an absolute nob no questions asked.
"Yeah but Lee, did it mean anything to you? Like I don't want to seem pushy or weird or anything but well I've kind of had feelings for you for a long time and I've been very conflicted on whether to act upon them. You see I've always liked... girls. And especially you and I never told you because I didn't know what to do about it because I didn't want to ruin our friendship but, I love you Lisa and now I know that it's more than just as a friend."
"But what about Josh... And Cory, and.... well everyone? But forget that! Yes, Al it did mean something for a long time I've liked you, I've been attracted to you but the thought of losing you as my best friend terrifies me and I've never told anyone because I'm afraid they will think I'm a freak." I put a pancake on a plate and slid it in front of her, tears began to roll down my face.
"Cover up.... Cover up and cover up. You know nothing ever happened with any of them and that's because I was never attracted to them."
"So now we know what do we do about these feeling Al, because I'm not so sure"
Now I don't remember what exactly happen after that but I do know that it worked out because well, we're together now so whatever happened next must have been pretty good.
