It was late evening, 9:52 pm on the 27th of August. The night was typical of the time of year cool yet not too chilly, a slight breeze yet partly cloudy. The moon was vividly visible, beautiful, the stars where out as well. There was enough light to barely see as they pulled up. Eliza looked to Garret, her roommate and close friend, “You ready for this” she asked. “I suppose the only reason I came was because I wouldn’t hear the end of it if I didn’t” stated Garret, somewhat annoyed at being dragged out here at this time of night. Eliza looked at him and said, “trust me you will enjoy it! This is one of the most active places around.” The place she was talking about was none other then Carmen Center Cemetery, or Triple C as known to the local pop. They had just pulled up and, where talking about the typical of what you would expect. Where to go and the rumors they had heard, well Eliza had heard Garret could careless.

Garret as much as he cared for Eliza simply opened his door, as did Eliza at that point. She just had received a small handheld camera for her birthday, so she brought it with her, it wasn’t anything specail. A basic handheld camera, video, pictures, and so on. They set out across the graveyard, they passed many a known sites even to Garret, toward a large tree that seemed to call to them. It seemed as good a place as any to test the new camera, and tell a few ghost stories as well. To say a little about Eliza if you hadn’t guess she had a thing for the paranormal, she always loved a good ghost story, rumor, and what not.

By the time they get to the tree the sky had mostly cleared and the moon was shining quite brightly. Almost hurtfully bright if you looked at it, which was good because they only had a small flashlight with them and the batteries where to say the least a bit old. There was a small bench by the gravel path they had taken. Now the Triple C was no small graveyard, this was one of the largest around and several miles in both directions. They sat down on the bench and Eliza set up the camera to tape for old keeps sake, and partly to see if she could catch anything in the background. Then she started by telling a story of how a couple had come there before 20 years before, to do the same as they where but only for the sake of telling a scary story. When the police found the abandoned car the next day, they walked into the Triple C and found the husband’s body strung up in the tree. His intestines tied to his wrists and ankles, like a puppet he hung there his stomach clawed out. A few seconds later they heard a snap and a scream then his wife’s body, with bloody hand dropped but a few feet from a very startled cop.

As Eliza was engulfed into telling the story Garret had sneaked off to place a quick trick on her. He had planned it since he first heard that she was going to drag him to this place about a week ago. He walked over to where he had stashed the stuff, and quickly got it set up. He had everything set, then he jumped. Hearing the sudden noise Eliza spun around to see Garret handing there by his neck. Now you would think she would freak out and scream or something like that, not her she knew exactly what he was doing. She walked over, Garret still didn’t move and hung there lifelessly. “He’s getting good.” She thought to herself. Reaching his lifeless body with blood dripping out of his mouth she reached up and cut the rope. Garret screamed at the sudden fall as his harness no longer supported him and he hit the ground with a thud. “Ow, a simple quit it would’ve been fine you know!” stammered Garret. “Yeah but this is more fun for me, now quit messing around! We are here to test the camera and then go home.” Eliza stated even more annoyed then normal at his jokes. “Fine, fine you win”, said Garret. Eliza sat back down and started another story, Garret stood leaning on the back of the bench to her left. Suddenly Garret flew over the bench right into the tripod almost knocking it over.

"Garret what the hell I thought you where done messing around" Eliza said. "I didn’t do anything, I was just standing there beside you and something threw me over the bench." said Garret, uneasily I might add. "Well whatever if your not going to take this seriously then maybe you shouldn’t come next time." snapped Eliza who was getting very tired of Garret’s constant pranks. "That’s all I ever wanted…" Garret thought to himself. Eliza walked over to the camera to make sure it was still in functioning order, you know being the first time she’s gotten to use it, the last thing she wants to happen is to have it break. She rewinds part of the last footage and see’s something standing while Garret was hanging. It looked like a man who had the look of a person who had lost everything including something more important then anything else in life. A look of dispare you only see once in many centuries where a man has his heart freely given to someone only to have it ripped out and dropped on the ground in front of him. Then as she started to get up the man vanished, she doesn’t see anything the whole conversation of when she had cut Garret from the tree. It wasn’t until he was leaning on the bench and she had resumed the story that you see the same man appeare this time you can see his heart and organs are missing. He walks up behind Garret and pushes him. The video cuts out at the point of Garret hitting the camera.

"Garret quick come look!" Yelled Eliza. He jumped to his feet, nursing his scrapes on the bench, and ran over. She replayed the video for Garret, as they where watching Eliza had noticed Garret was bleeding on his back. She told him to turn around so she could have a look, to make sure he wasn’t badly injured. What she saw shocked her, the cuts on his back spelled out a simple yet clear message, RUN. She yelped a bit when she saw what it was, this caused Garret to freak a bit. "What’s wrong?" He nervously asked. "There is a word carved into your back." she said shaking a bit now. "What does it say?" Garret asked. "Run" she manged to say quite coldly. "Well I guess we should hurry out of here, and I mean let’s get the hell out of here now!" Garret said taking charge. They hurried back to the gate. They got there safely and where needless to say looking forward to getting out, and safely home. As Garret reach for the gate it was stuck. "What’s going on?" said Garret. "Your not going anywhere, at least not that way." said Eliza in a strange voice.

"What are you tal-" Garret was cut off as Eliza jumped at him and slammed him into the fence. He threw her off and tried to ask what she was doing, she mearly jumped backed up and stared at him. She seemed to be fighting her self, she managed to say something simple. "RUN GARRET!" it was her normal voice this time. As he was watching her eyes started to change color. From the normal hazel, to a darker green with a slight glow if he wasn’t mistaken. At that he turned and sprinted away. Where to he didn’t care he needed time to think. He arrived in a isolated section of the grave yard, it was quite beautiful with a field of forget-me-nots and a small bench at which he stumbled over to and sat down. As he was thinking to himself he thought he started to hear some footsteps. He looked around and didn’t see anything, and just stared at the flowers in front of him. Without warning there was another person sitting next to him. It looked like the man from the camera, he started to run of course but something made him stop. Garret turned and looked and the man was just waving him over, he looked different also he wasn’t all disemboweled anymore. The look of dispare was still there however.
