Ok. Remember that episode where April's father was turned into a homicidal bat and then she blames it on the Turtles.

"I never wanna see your faces, ever again!" she shouted as she ran off.

"April wait!!!" said Donnie trying to stop her but Raph intervenes.

"Let her go, give her some space," he said.

Donnie was so sad that he might have lost his best friend, the only human he had a thing for.

He blamed himself for this whole mess.

I was pretty sad when I saw that. Eventually she forgave them and all that. BUT.... What if it happened this way.

The cage was opened and the bat was free.

It was about to attack April .

Donnie got in the way and was mortally wounded by the blow.

"DONNIE!!!!" said April.

"We gotta catch that thing," said Leo, "Donnie can wait, come on!"

April stopped him.

"Are you guys nuts?!" she asked, "Your brother is in danger but you think catching that thing is more important!?"

"But April...." Saud Mikey.

"He can wait," said April, "Right now we have someone to look out for."

She turned back to Donnie.

"I don't know if you can hear me, but I want you to know that what happened is not your fault, but do me a favor and don't die on me," she said, "Don't you frickin die on me!"

Moments later Donnie woke up and found himself in a bed.

"Mr. O'Niel!!!" he said quickly getting up, "Ow... what.... What happened?"

He laid back down.

"Donnie, you're awake," said April.

"Where are the others?" asked Donnie.

"Looking for my dad," said April, "They brought you back to the lair so you could heal."

He knew that this was his fault.

"April I...." said Donnie.

"No," said April, "Its ok."

"No its not," said Donnie, "If I hadn't did this, this wouldn't have happened. I'm such an idiot."

"Donnie, you're not an idiot," she said, "No one here blames you for what happened, especially not me."

He looked down to the floor.

"Neither should you," said April, "Besides, its not like you meant it."

"I have to fix this," said Donnie, "As soon as these wounds heal, I'm gonna find him I swear, and I don't care if I die for it."

"Donatello don't you ever say that again!" said April, "I wouldn't be the same if you weren't here, and neither would anyone else."

"But...." Said Donnie.

"Donnie I know you want to fix something you think was your fault, but just try to understand," said April, "Some things are just.... How do I put this? Beyond our control."

He realized April was right.

"But I can develop a cure," said Donnie.

"There's a better solution," said April.

She hugged him tight.

"I'm just glad you're ok," she said.

"Me too," said Donnie.

They stared at each other for a moment.

Then they came closer and then shared a passionate kiss.

"Donnie, when all this is over," said April, "Can I be your girl?"

"I thought you'd never ask," said Donnie with a smile.
