Miraculous Ladybug: Shattered

Chapter one

Marinette:
      Today was the day. Well, not the actual day but the day Bridgette helpes me pick out my dress. I'm so excited! I haven't seen Bridgette in forever, since she was in Seattle helping an organization for people who lost their jobs.
      "You excited?" Bridgette asked for the millionth time today.
      "Of course! I've waited so long!" I answered.
      "We're all only in our 20's. I can't believe your parents are letting you marry him." She said.
      "They actually said anytime during college would be ok! But Adrien just officially proposed last Saturday."
      "Wow," Bridgette said." How... why... he just..."
      "Well, he talked about it during high school and kinda asked me in college but he didn't do it with the ring until three days ago." I said, cutting her stammering off.
      We were talking through the dressing room as I was trying on a dress. She insisted on coming back with me so she could help me walk out in the heels I was wearing. I could not walk in heels. I slipped on the shoes and walked out.
        "Mari... You look gorgeous!"
I smiled as I stumbled out, grabbing onto Bridgette's arm so tight my knuckles were white. Everyone applauded when I came out. This was the 10th dress I tried. It was pearl white, with a little pink lace and red satin underneath.  The dress couldn't be more perfect.
      When we got back to my house Bridgette and I ran upstairs laughing, crawling up the steps like when we were little. We collapsed on my bed, laughing out heart out. My mind when to Adrien.
      "Soo... do you like Adrien?" I asked Bridgette.
      "Are you kidding? He broke your heart!" She exclaimed
      "But we're-"
      "Mari, you didn't let me finish. After he broke your heart, he traveled all the way to Seattle to search the entire state for me, so he could tell me that he made a mistake. Then, you know, you two got back together again and-"
      "Wait, Seattle? He told me that he-"
      "I know. He told me not to tell you right then so you couldn't make a big deal of it. It was harder for him to lie to you than for someone to like in the Arctic with no coat." She said with a smile.
      I hugged her, and we both started laughing again. "Hey, do you have a date to the wedding? Felix doesn't yet!" I smirked. I noticed all the color and happiness leave my cousin's face. She stood up.
      "I need to go. Bye Mari, see you tomorrow." And she left. I called Adrien and told him to give the phone to Felix.
      " Hello? This is Felix."
      "Shut up. What did you do to Bridgette?" He was silent. I heard a thud, most likely the phone being thrown, and yelling between the twins. I waited.
      "Bye Marinette. Make sure I'm far away from your cousin." Felix said. The way he said it sent a shiver up my spine. He hung up.
