"You're overreacting Brea." Spencer said between swing pushes.
"Our dad's been comforting your mom when she can't sleep. We've all found them on the couch in the mornings." Jackson added.
"How do you suppose he was comforting her in his bed?" Brea was quick to anger as of late, and both Spencer and Jackson were learning how to delicately deal with her ever-changing moods.
"Maybe it was because it was cold in the house last night." Spencer offered.
Brea crossed her arms. "Their clothes were in a pile on the floor."
"What?" Both brothers asked.
"Come on! You both heard me! They were NAKED."
The swing John-Michael was in hit a shocked Spencer – much to his son's delight.
"There's got to be an explanation..." Jackson pondered out loud.
Spencer started to chuckle. Brea shot him a glare. "What's so funny?"
Spencer snorted. "I just thought this is what your mom must have been feeling when she caught Jacks under your bed."
"Well, she did think it was you, Spence." Jackson laughed. "I can laugh about it now, but I will tell you, when I snuck back into the window and Dad spun around in my chair, I was terrified."
"You want terrified? John thought I got Brea pregnant and I had no idea what was going on!"
"This isn't funny!"
"Come on Brea. They've both lost their soulmates and have been friends for years. Why not let them have a little fun before it's their turn to go?" Spencer pushed his son's swing.
Brea pouted, refusing to admit that the brothers had a point.

The young family stayed a little longer at the park, giving their parents some extra time alone. When they returned to the house, they found Rose and Michael sitting on the couch. Both had the slightest shades of pink on their cheeks. The image reminded Brea of the day she and Spencer were given their gloves and Michael and Rose had given their journals back to them.
Michael cleared his throat. "How was the park?"
Spencer smirked. "It was fun. Did you two enjoy your time alone?"
Rose's face flushed.
"About that Mom..." Brea arched her eye at her mom. "Why didn't you tell us?"
"What was I supposed to say? I'm sorry your dad died, but I'm lonely and probably going to die soon too?" Rose snapped at her daughter.
Brea bit her lip. In their time at the park, Jackson and Spencer had convinced her that this wasn't a bad turn of events at all. It was just going to take some getting used to. "It's okay Mom. It's a little weird for me at the moment, but I'll be fine."
Jackson picked up a slip of paper on the coffee table. He turned it over and frowned. "Brea, when did get the scan to find out what you're having?"
"Brea! You promised us!" Spencer added.
"I didn't have one yet."
"Then why does it say 'Baby Girl Thomas?' You were supposed to tell me and Spencer this time around." Jackson handed her the slip.
"It's too early for me to get it done! I'm going in a couple of weeks!"
