Doing Good

Toni POV: we were at home and Kenny hasn't been feeling well I decided to stay home from the studio and watch him. The kids were at school.

Kenny: baby my leg, and I'm short of breath

Toni POV:  I felt his head and he was burning up with fever. I pulled the cover back and his leg was red and swollen.

Toni: oh my gosh, come on let's get you to the hospital

Toni put on her tights and a shirt and slipped on her converse. Then she went over to Kenny side of the bed.

Toni: can you walk

Kenny: no ouch

Toni: come on baby

Toni helped Kenny sit up. She grabbed his pants and helped him get into him. Then he slipped on his slides and put on his shirt.

Toni: hold on to me

Toni POV: He held on to me as he stood up I helped him get down the stairs as he held his leg in pain.

Kenny: *exhaling* Toni it's getting hard to breath

Tears fell down Toni eyes

Toni: baby we have to get going were almost at the car

Toni got Kenny in the car and she sped to the hospital. The doctors rushed out to the car.

Doctor: what happened *putting Kenny in the hospital bed*

Toni: *crying* I don't know he couldn't breath and his leg is swollen

Nurse: he has no pulse and passed out. 

Toni: what Kenny!

Nurse: mam where going to help him stay calm

Doctor: he needs to go in surgery, start CPR immediately

The doctor rolled him back in the hospital. Leaving Toni crying she parked the car and called her sisters. And told Mrs. Evelyn to pick up the kids. Toni went into the waiting room and her sisters came shortly. Toni was crying a river and they embraced her

Tamar: what happened

Toni: I don't know, Tamar he's in surgery

Towanda: Tone where here for you

3 hours later

Doctor: Family of Kenneth Edmonds

Toni: I'm his wife is he ok

Doctor: mam Your husband had a major blood clot in his thigh but we removed it,  but it has taken a strain on his body, he won't make it I'm sorry.

Toni broke down crying. Mikey held her in his arms. The sisters cried.

Toni: I didn't get to tell Kenny that I loved him one last time *crying*  I can't live without my husband.

Tamar: Toni I'm so sorry

Toni: *crying harder* Sorry Won't bring him back.

Toni drove him crying a ocean. She went into her bedroom and fell in the bed crying. She smelled Kenny cologne on the pillow. She had lost her whole world. As she looked down at her wedding ring she thought about all their laughing they did together she ran her hand on the sheets and thought about all the times they made love. Then she remembered all the bad things she said to him like how she said she hated him and never should have married him. She looked in her drawer and saw all the hundreds of love letters Kenny had written for her as her tears dropped on the papers. Then her phone rung.
