'Happy birthday, Oikawa!!'
It was around 2:30 am in the morning, and Oikawa's phone was vibrating every thirty seconds with notifications revealing that he had gotten a new text. '106 unread messages.' Picking up his phone, he read through some of the messages, many of them coming from people he didn't even recognize. In fact, his twitter feed was blowing up with people that were tagging him in pictures and commenting on his recent photos. His heart sank a little though once he searched up a certain contact, trying to find if any new texts were sent to him from that person.
'No new messages from Iwaizumi Hajime.'
Oikawa sighed in disappointment, but he figured that Iwaizumi must have not been awake. Setting his phone on the nightstand, the brunette yawned and stretched his arms, getting up slowly to turn on the hallway lights. The sudden change in light made him cringe as he walked into the bathroom to get ready for the day. He didn't want to waste a single moment of it, and was beginning to get excited thinking about how he would tease Iwaizumi.
Once he finished showering and brushing his teeth, Oikawa headed down the stairs to make breakfast.
What was waiting for him at the table was definitely not what he was expecting."I- Iwa-chan? What are you doing in my house? How did you even get in here?"
Iwaizumi turned his head to see the brunette by the doorway. Oikawa's expression was one of shock, which somewhat surprised Iwaizumi; it wasn't like it was the first time he had shown up unexpectedly in Oikawa's home.
"Idiot, you gave me your extra house key."
Iwaizumi got up from his seat and walked over to Oikawa, who was still in shock.
"Anyways, happy birthday, Crappykawa."
"Did you really have to add the 'Crappykawa' part?" Oikawa replied with an exaggerated sad face, but in all honesty, he was just really happy that Iwaizumi had come over.
"Now, are you ready to see your present?"
"Huh? Presen- "
Before Oikawa could respond, Iwaizumi covered his eyes with a blindfold and strapped a paper hat on his head. Guiding him to the living room, they were greeted with cheers and laughter.
"What is this, Iwa-chan?" Oikawa asked as he took off the blindfold, once again gasping in surprise.
The living room was covered in streamers, confetti, and balloons. Scattering the table, laid a cake, a card, and presents in a variety of sizes. His volleyball team, Seijou, was there as well, now crowding around him as he stood by the doorway. Everyone else wore party hats as well that said 'Happy Birthday', but on his own were the words, '#1 Setter'.
"Hey, hey, did you see his face?" Hanamaki laughed, as he pushed Matsukawa playfully. Matsukawa's phone was out, recording everything, but the video was definitely blurry from the movement, considering how much he was laughing. Judging by their reactions, Oikawa figured it must have been their idea to do all of this for him. Kindaichi, Kyoutani, and Shigeru, were staring intently at him, as if they were trying not to laugh. Oikawa dragged Iwaizumi to the couch and sat down, as the other boys were beginning to play a game of cards.
"Was this your idea?" Oikawa asked, turning to face the two boys who had mischievous grins plastered on their faces.
"Nope! You can thank Iwaizumi, he planned all of this." Matsukawa replied, his laughter beginning to die down a little.
Oikawa was taken aback slightly, he honestly didn't believe that Iwaizumi would do something like this for him. The brunette could feel his cheeks rise, as he latched onto Iwa-chan's shoulders. He looked at Iwaizumi, whose face was red as he muttered something under his breath.
"Hmm, Iwa-chan? What was that?"
"I didn't say anything, Trashykawa." Iwaizumi frowned as he looked away, but when he turned back, he was met with Oikawa's teasing gaze. His frown softened, as he smirked before bringing Oikawa's face closer to his. Kissing him on the forehead, he whispered something into Oikawa's ear.
"Happy birthday, Tooru."

A/N
I know Oikawa's birthday was a week ago and I'm so late with this, but I wanted to write something to celebrate his birthday. Happy birthday to Oikawa Tooru, the character who destroyed my emotions, the classiest, sassiest, and prettiest king of trash! I'm joking, but he really did destroy my emotions.
Umm, bye now.
